3.0/ 5

Nestled in the paradisiacal setting of the Bahamas, Atlantis Resort stands as a beacon of luxury and relaxation, offering guests a slice of tropical heaven. With stunning beaches and warm hospitality, this property certainly has its charms.

However, my recent stay at the Royal Tower left me with mixed feelings. While the resort boasts beautiful surroundings and friendly staff, there were some significant drawbacks that detracted from the overall experience.

Upon arrival, we encountered issues with our room assignment, as it did not offer the promised ocean view. Additionally, resolving discrepancies with our $250 credit took an unnecessary amount of time, eating into precious beach hours and causing frustration.

Additionally, it’s worth noting that the thin walls in the rooms amplify noise, making it challenging to find peace and quiet. Guests may find themselves disturbed by loud music that persists until the early hours of the morning, with little respite for those seeking a good night’s sleep. Consider bringing white noise machines or earplugs to counteract the persistent soundscape and ensure a restful stay.

Dining options at Atlantis come with a hefty price tag, and the mandatory 15% gratuity can feel unjustified when service falls short. The buffet-style Poseidon’s Table proved to be overpriced and underwhelming, while the presence of locals on jet skis near the Royal Beach added an element of discomfort.

Although the Cove and Reef beaches offered a more serene experience, the maintenance of rooms in the Royal Tower left much to be desired, with visible signs of wear and tear.

On a brighter note, dining experiences at Nobu and Silan by Alon Shaya exceeded expectations, providing memorable culinary delights. For more casual fare, options like Plato’s, Starbucks at the Coral, and Shake Shack offered satisfying breakfast choices.

In conclusion, Atlantis Resort offers a splendid retreat for families seeking adventure and relaxation. However, the steep prices and maintenance issues may leave some guests feeling shortchanged. Despite its flaws, Atlantis remains a captivating destination, albeit one that could benefit from improvements in value and upkeep. – via google

My family and I had a great time with the day pass.

However, upon reflection – I would like to mention that while Atlantis looks humongous, there’s not a TON to do really. What takes so long is that the routes to the different areas are very circuitous – so you’re not able to simply go from point A to point B very efficiently.

Everything is pricey. Lunch for a family of 5 (and I’m talking hot dogs and sandwiches) will set you back nearly $100. So just know you’re in for an expensive day.

But I don’t want to slam the park. The grounds were very well kept. The staff was top notch. we really liked the lagoon! It’s a secluded beach where kids can snorkel and see reef fish.

Had a great time! – via google

I’m impressed! Hotels territory is amazing! It’s huge and have so many activities for people of all ages and status. Lagoon and all these aquariums with sea creatures are beyond my expectations! Pools, small Waterpark, casino, marina, village.
Stayed in the Cove for a 5 days with my 1,5 y.o. toddler. And no problem during our stay, except finding food.
Here we go to MINUSES:
As it’s said at the hotel’s resources, there are 39 restaurants on the territory. However, looks like its not enough for a such huge hotel.
Near pools there are all burgers and unhealthy options, etc.
Taco place was awful, bad smell at the place and from food. Looks dirty, unpleasant, and food wasn’t good at all.
On monday evening we’d recommend to reserve a restaurant in advance. We had a loooong walk from the Cove to the Village, and back, stopping at every restaurant looking for a table for 2. Long lines and waiting time was about 1,5 hours.
Prices for food are really OVERPRICED! Chicken breast $50!

Taxi from/to airport $45-50 – via google

Half of the rides were closed but we paid full price for the park entrance. They said there was “bad weather” and that was the reason they closed (which is very questionable, because it was sunny, some clouds and no rain). They say they disclaim that, which does not seem to be true because I read over all the documents sent and it does not say it nowhere. This park is a scam. Do not recommend – via google

Used to be a nice tourist destination but has limited their “Aquarium” to hotel guests only. Pretty much all you can do as a non-guest is gamble in the casino. – via google
