I bought a two hour private kitesurfing class some days ago but I was very disappointed, contrary to my stay in Sal in general.
I was transported to the kite beach where I met my instructor. Unfortunately, he wasn’t very talkative nor engaged in the teaching. When I didn’t pick up the handling of the kite immediately he got very frustrated with me and asked why I didn’t do as he instructed. I tried my best to follow his instructions but he grew more and more impatient with me every time the kite fell down and he had to go over and put it in the air which clearly irritated him. At some point I got the hang of it and managed to control the kite for some time until it fell down again. Then he got very upset and kept asking if I did it on purpose. From this time on, he didn’t answer my questions about the handling and commanded me in a condescending voice the things I should do. Fortunately, the class was soon over, and I could be transported home. In the office in Santa Maria, I commented on the class to an employee, probably the manager. He said that maybe the chemistry was not right, but I was welcome to book a class with one of the other instructors, though still at the full price. I said no thanks. – via

Unfortunately we had to dive 3x at the same spot because of the strong current. First of all, you have to say that the guides and the boatman tried to go to other spots. Unfortunately, this was not possible. The guides were very personable and knowledgeable. Equipment were well maintained. Very good price.

Die Diving Base hat eine schöne Lage und hier kommt Urlaubsfeeling auf. Wir waren insgesamt 4x Tauchen. Leider mussten wir wegen der starken Strömung 3x an dem gleichen Spot tauchen. Vorab muss man auch sagen, dass die Guides und auch der Bootsführer versucht haben andere Spots anzufahren. Dies war aber leider nicht möglich. Die Guides waren sehr sympathisch und kompetent. Ausrüstung waren gut gepflegt. Preislich sehr gut. – via

If you transfer a partial amount in advance, you can also have access to the e-learning training material in advance. Communication via WhatsApp with the center is good and easy.

We also booked 3 double lessons for kitesurfing. Also a big thank you to Aria and Jailson, who did a really great job, so you can see progress quickly.

We were picked up from the hotel for all sessions, so you don’t have to stay in the hotel right in front of the center.

Overall, the process is professional and well regulated. We can only recommend the Atlantic Star Nautical Center

Ein super Ort, um Tauchen und Kitesurfing zu lernen!

Wir haben den Open Water Diver absolviert und der Ablauf war absolut professionell! Vielen, vielen Dank an Kirsty für die tolle Durchführung und Betreuung! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. 🙂
Bei vorheriger Überweisung eines Teilbetrags kann man auch schon vorab Zugang zum E-Learning Trainingsmaterial haben. Die Kommunikation über WhatsApp mit dem Center ist gut und einfach.

Wir haben zudem 3 Doppelstunden für Kitesurfing gebucht. Hier auch einen großen Dank an Aria und Jailson, die ihren Job echt toll gemacht haben, so dass man schnell Fortschritte bemerkt.

Wir wurden für alle Sessions jeweils vom Hotel abgeholt, so dass man nicht in dem Hotel direkt vor dem Center wohnen muss.

Insgesamt ist der Ablauf professionell und gut geregelt. Wir können das Atlantic Star Nautical Center nur empfehlen – via
