This dive shop is a scam. They tell you that you can have pool play at a minimal charge, but that’s only if you spend hundreds of dollars at their store. God forbid you bring any of your own gear. My wife called them on the phone, and they treated her like she was an idiot. They wanted to charge us $225, each, to take a full face mask class, not certified, just their pool class. It would cost more to actually get certified, which would involve an additional 2 open water dives with the full fask mask. Due to the current time of year, the open water dives were not an option. The only way to practice with our masks was to agree to pay their class fee. To be clear, PADI offers a full face mask class, but it is not actually a required certification, although it is recommended. We agree that the class is very important, but to make us pay $225 each, just for the pool session, and the inability to obtain the remainder of the certification without later paying $495 each for Advanced Open Water Certification (that is just the fee for the 5 open water dives, not including the book work nor any of the pool charge for that certification, and finishing the full face mask class would be an additional charge) is simply insane. We were told later that the $225 each charge was just for their class, and would not give us any official certification. it was simply to use their pool to practice. – via google

Joe and team have been amazing for my daughter (age 11) and I going through the scuba certification process. We walked in knowing nothing about scuba diving and they have guided us through everything. They are very patient and moved at our pace. I would highly recommend anyone looking to take up diving for vacation or otherwise to stop by and talk to them. – via google

My 15 year old daughter wanted to get certified to join me (dad) scuba diving on our next tropical family vacation. Dianne was amazing and so cheerful providing clear detailed steps we needed to take. Her husband Joe is basically a modern day Aquaman….he was super knowledgeable about basically everything, teaches in a way that all ages can understand and not feel nervous or intimidated learning pool skills too. To my surprise my daughter looked forward to classes and pool activities with her new underwater friends versus being on her cell phone for hours up in her room. I am grateful for Dianne and Joe for all the time and effort to make this a great and fun experience for her. Now I’ve got a dive buddy that I love. – via google

It has been a while since using my own dive gear and wanted to check it all out and practice my skills. But did not need to do a refresh. So did a pool playtime. Nice pool. One small section drops to 14 feet – via google

I recently was reactivated and updated my gear at ACR. The owners were excellent about knowing my current skill level and perfectly fitting me with a new BC, wetsuit, and second stage regulator. The instruction in my pool class was top notch and focused on the skills I needed to improve the most. ACR provides superb personal customer focused service tailored to your specific needs and skills. – via google
