If you’re wanting to snorkel in aruba, but don’t want to take up all the room in your suitcase for gear or pay $50+ for a set when you get there, it’s 9 bucks for 24 hours with a snorkel and mask from here. I kept mine for longer and expected to pay for 2 days but they didn’t charge me any extra. Easy , laid back and great value. I can only imagine their other products and services are great as well. – via google

Aqua Windies is a great place with amazing people. I completed my open water dive certification there (Dec/Jan2024) and was well looked after. I highly recommend this place to people of all ages as the staff are very friendly and informative. I learned so much from each of their dive instructors, special shout out to Rob and Rosh!!
*Make sure to bring your paper work if you have to take any medication.* As they want to make sure that you are as safe as possible which is great. 🙂 – via google

****UPDATE 2024, one year later*** Came back to my favourite place and it’s still amazing. Samantha, the nice clerk still works there as well as her friend. The lady with the short curly hair and I don’t remember her name but she’s super nice. I had some amazing swims here. Honestly, this is part of the reason why I come to Aruba. Find me a good laugh pool that’s not packed. An overcrowded is getting harder and harder. This place is perfect for me. Thank you once again, aqua windiie’s. I will see you soon for sure ????????????
**2023 review***Amazing. Love this place. Lap swimming is like breathing to me so I needed to find a lap pool in Aruba. This one is a 40 min walk from my apartment. I got a 10 swim punch pass for $46US .Samantha at front desk was so sweet and helpful. Fluent in English, Spanish, Papiamento and Dutch, she explained everything and even booked all my swims in advance. She took the time to write all my booking down for me on a piece of paper.
The pool has a variety of activities including scuba diving lessons. There is even a shop that sells scuba and swim gear. The lap pool although really cold is awesome. I swim in my own lane and everybody there is super friendly. After my swim I lounge in the pool side chairs to dry. These have been my best moments in Aruba. I am super happy I found this pool. Thank you Aqua Windie’s, you are top notch . ???? – via google

I was vacationing in Aruba a few weeks ago. I was on a catamaran day trip and jumped off the boat near the Antilla ship wreck. My Apple Watch snapped off my wrist and immediately sank. Assuming it was gone for good, I planned on buying another one when I got home. I was at the airport the next day getting ready to leave when I got a message from my friend back home saying someone had reached out to her regarding my watch. We got in touch and it was Nathan from Aqua Windie’s who is a scuba instructor there. He was on a dive and found my watch at the ship wreck at a depth of 55 feet, and tracked me down through the emergency contacts on my Medical ID. He drove the watch to the airport and was able to get it to me just a few minutes before I boarded the plane to go back home. It’s in perfect working condition (Apple doesn’t lie when they say it’s waterproof!). Thank you so much to Nathan who went above and beyond. There are truly kind, thoughtful people in this world and they work at Aqua Windies! When I come back next year I plan to take a scuba lesson! – via google

75+ dives logged — these guys might be a Top 3 dive shop for experience, comfort, professionalism, knowledge; even the subtleties like knowing we should change a dive site to another nearby because of wind/wave conditions. When I needed AAA Batteries — no problem. etc. etc. Nicole, Rasha, Rob, Valentino, Albert and Yvonne who I swear gave me flashbacks to my Grade 2 teacher (she wags a mean finger if you’re slacking). Aqua Windies – 5 Big Stars

As an executive summary I can tell you that I have no hesitation recommending Aqua Windies with full stars. More detail below.

I spent a week diving with Aqua Windies (February 5-9, 2024) with two other experienced divers. It was our first time travelling to Aruba for our annual(ish) dive trip. We looked at reviews for local dive shops and narrowed our options down to a couple we felt good about.

What stood out for us with Aqua Windies was not only the reviews from other divers on Trip Advisor and scuba board on-line forums, but our own impression on just how incredibly quick Aqua Windies (Nichole) responded to our email inquiries. Her responses were detailed and meaningfully answered our questions. Nichole even suggested a diving itinerary for us that allowed us to hit a little of everything on our Aruba dive bucket list without having us have to repeat any dive sites for the week. For my two fellow divers, it was their first time diving in just over a year. They were prepared to do a refresher at home in Canada before travelling to Aruba but Aqua Windies even built that into our itinerary. The refresher was a shallow shore dive so that we never missed a beat. Two of the three of us brought our own equipment. The third was very happy with AW’s quality and wide selection of rental equipment. The shop is very well stocked (we needed emergency batteries for my friend’s underwater camera because he forgot to pack them and the strap of my mask broke that week and I had it replaced in about a minute). One of our divers even decided to finally take his Advanced Open Water with Aqua Windies. (Me and my other diving buddy already had our AOW certification). Rob was his instructor and our dive guide for much of our trip. He’s very calm and very easy to dive with.

The dive boat was well stocked and the divers were split into groups depending on ability. We are all good with our air consumption so it was nice to have a group who could have 50-60 minute dives while others could come up earlier with their guides.

In summary, we were so pleased with the service, attentiveness, and overall fun we had with everyone from Aqua Windies. They will be the gold standard for us when comparing them to other dive shops. In the shop we were greeted by Nichole and Yvonne. On our dive boat we had Rob (as noted above); Roshendra; and Albert. Everyone from Aqua Windies quickly became an extended part of our diving trip family. We will miss them but we know we will be back for another week to dive with them again on a future trip! – via google

A great place for lap swim, even if you’re just on vacation. The rate is $7 per time and they also sell bundles for those staying longer. You need to make an appointment on WhatsApp or stop in. Super clean, super friendly. They have noisy construction next door but not on them and that is everywhere in Aruba unfortunately. Highly recommend. – via google

The shop is lovely to deal with. Purchased a full faced snorkel which has worked out great. Scheduled a private snorkel with Nora who took us to a local spot known for sea turtles. Update: I’ve gone out with Aqua Windie’s several times since my first review and recommend them even more than before. Nora, Rosh, Nichole, Rob, and Valentino are an amazing crew that make every dive enjoyable. There is no other dive shop on the island that I would want to use!

Fantastic family owned dive shop in Aruba. I dove here 6 times during my vacation and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Windie, Sjoerd and the rest of the crew were a delight to go through and dive with. They have a great sized boat for dives and give comprehensive briefings before every dive. If you’re looking for a great dive shop on the island, this is the spot! – via google

Ended up in Aruba on a last minute trip and searched everywhere for somewhere with an open slot to dive. Aqua Windie’s not only scheduled me right away, but also has the BEST dive staff! Friendly, knowledgeable, fun and even took the time to learn the customers names. Nora and Ras really set a new standard for fun and professionalism.
