Just had a dive with the team today. Really amazing experience. The crew is very friendly (Eleni, Clara and George) without ever crossing the thin line of being friendly but still realise that you’re the customer.

Clara (my buddy) has a very good eye. We spotted lots of nudibranch, octopus, giant grouper, lion fish and a joyful group of barracuda.

Thanks all. See you again tomorrow. You made it a memorable experience…

Update – Day 2
Some nice cave diving today and the laser eye sight of Clara spotted a stone fish, a family of lion fish and of course nudibranches again.

Just had a dive with the team today. Really amazing experience. The crew is very friendly (Eleni, Clara and George) without ever crossing the thin line of being friendly but still realise that you’re the customer.

Clara (my buddy) has a very good eye. We spotted lots of nudibranch, octopus, giant grouper, lion fish and a joyful group of barracuda.

My wife and I visited Aqua divers Club at the Costa Navarino…

My wife and I visited Aqua divers Club at the Costa Navarino Resort for the first time and it was a great experience. We did the refresher dive off the beach of Proti island, there is an amazing wreck, accessible even for beginners, and Eleni was very professional and patient in her conduct.  She leads the dive with a thorough tour of the wreck, and she also did a great job by gently and patiently guiding us through an underwater tour in the shallow part of the water. In the afternoon, we did another dive from the island, and there were 2 diving instructors with us (Eleni & Carla). Both were very attentive and made sure we were ok and felt safe at all times. The diving site was amazing, we saw moray eel in full (they normally hide in the rocks), lion fishes (full!) and big groupers. Another group of divers had the chance to see barracudas!  The waters  were absolutely beautiful with amazing clear visibility.Overall great experience and would definitely go diving with them again. We can only recommend this dive site! – via google

Me hicieron entrar en una “cueva” que era un agujero en una roca, y al extrañarme me hicierond e nuevo señales para que entrara, casi no salgo de ahí, al principio no se veía pero era muy muy estrecho y me quedé encallado, me costó mucho salir, ni hacia adelante ni hacia atrás, con una camára que se rompió la carcasa al tratar de salir como fuera y rascando con todo el equipo, traje, grifería y también la cámara. muy mala experiencia, no se puede jugar con la vida de los demás de esa manera. Adem´ñas, aunque no tiene importancia después de lo vivido, aprovecharon una salida de bautizos para llevarm,e a mi también, y claro, fuimos a una zona para ellos y la inmersión fue un auténtico desastre, aunque lo importrante sea poder contarlo. Muy mala experiencia, lo menos importante que aprovecharon una salida para bautizos para llevarme a mi, y la inmersión fue un desastre, pero lo más importante y grave es que pusieron en riesgo mi vida. So, yes, the team is super nice. The equipment is also very good and taken care of. And if you are only staying in the resort, a price of EUR 90 per dive seems okish, because equipment is included.

Having said that, I would like to shed some lime on the other side of the medal:

1. We inquired about dives, dive sites, organization, etc.. The answer we got: we do great fun dives in the bay of Pilos. No map was shown, no videos or pictures, not even an explanation whether we were talking about a wreck, reef or cave dive…. If you are a diver that takes his dives seriously, this is not the level of explanation you expect. Especially, if you take into account:

If you have a car, it is quite easy to drive 20 mins south to the bay of Pilos or 20 mins up to Marathopoli (island of Proti) where you can find two very good dive shops that are offering the same experience for EUR 45/50 or even less if you do more dives. When we inquired about the price difference, we were told that this is a 5* experience and therefore they needed to charge double… (same dive site, same high quality equipment included,…). We also inquired with locals and they told us, that the hotel gets an additional kick back out of the rates and that is the reason they need to charge more.

So if you are looking for a chauffeur that takes you from the resort to the dive site, this is your place to go. If you are somebody who likes smart money choices, you most probably have a rental and you go there by yourself to support the locals and not a big hotel chain

I really need to point out that the staff was very friendly and they earned the 2nd star. – via google
