I have been here a few times and the staff has always been awesome. They helped me and my partner choose the appropriate gear we need to start snorkeling and diving.

We just finished our open water course with Tony. He was amazing. I feel very grateful that I had someone with so much experience and patience teaching us. I can’t say enough good things about this business and its staff. Thanks for being wonderful and sharing your underwater passion with us!

Recently came in to buy my first mask and snorkel, in preparation for my first cruise in a few months. I came from out of town and had limited time since my family were waiting in the van. The employee at the desk was so helpful – took me to the wall of masks, looked at my face, and then after explaining what a good fit would feel like, handed me mask after mask while I tried them on. Bought a mask that felt like it fit great, grabbed a recommended snorkel, and was out of there in probably less than 10 min. Today I went to my local pool to try them out, and was super pleased. Mask was very comfortable and didn’t fog or leak at all. Snorkel worked great, especially considering it was my first time using one. Really excited for my cruise now! – via

Did my course with Dan and then open water dives with Melinda. Dan was nice and did a great job teaching skills. Melinda is an absolute sweetheart; she was knowledgeable, encouraging and made the whole experience fun. Absolutely recommend doing your dives with her. Especially if you’re a bit nervous and lose both fins going down! – via

I love snorkeling but as I got older I had to put on glasses…. which meant contact lenses when I go snorkeling. I’m one of those folks that have great discomfort with contacts. I bought a new mask and also upgraded the lenses to prescription and they even helped me install it. I just got in the water and it was amazing. Thanks for helping me with the mask. – via

My son had 5/5 experience getting his PADI certified with Aqua Dive. The instructors instilled confidence and created an enjoyable learning process. In particular, Master Scuba Diver trainer Scott was one of the best. He took the time to ensure everyone felt comfortable and understood the complexity of scuba diving. Overall I enjoyed the experience of taking the scuba course at Aqua Dive and Watersports. Our instructor was knowledgeable, the program/course prices were reasonable, and the staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating, and we will likely be back for gear and additional courses/etc.

I deducted a single star ONLY because I felt like the instructor was treating me a little strangely. He delivered the lessons and explained/demonstrated everything as expected, but because I wasn’t at 100% that first day for various reasons, I had a little difficulty. I felt singled out by the things he said to me, and it made me a little uncomfortable. I don’t think any harm or malice was intended, but it added some stress, and this definitely affected my experience of the pool sessions (we did the course material online). I would say part of it was that he and I just didn’t “click” or had some fundamental misunderstanding, but I don’t know.

At the end of it all I finished the lessons and did what I was supposed to do, though, so take that for what it’s worth. – via

I just took the open water diving class, and I am very impressed. Our instructor Dan was awesome! Super knowledgeable, patient with everyone and made the class a blast to be in! I would highly recommend Aqua dive for anyone looking to take their diving certification, and Dan as an instructor for the course. I’ll definitely be back next spring to complete my open water dives. – via
