I became a PADI certified open water diver in 2021 with Anchor Bay Scuba. The entire process was easy and flexible. Don and Mickey are incredible owners with a passion for scuba and teaching. I completed my courses with Don and felt extremely knowledgeable and safe when it came time for certification. I have also attended a trip to the Georgia Aquarium (2022) with the shop and I’ve purchased gear. I highly recommend to anyone interested in scuba diving. Great atmosphere with amazing people! – via

Don and Mickey have done so much for the sport of scuba diving throughout their lives, and Anchor Bay Scuba is the cherry on top. You will not find a more professional, more thorough, or more friendly shop in the world.

I am happy that I made the jump to become a scuba diver, but I’m over the moon that I have done my OW, AOW, Rescue classes with Don, Rob, and Sarah. Among the three of them, you will not find a more thorough group of instructors. They have made me an extremely comfortable, safe, and knowledgeable diver in a short amount of time. Glad to be apart of the Anchor Bay Scuba family. Not once did I ever feel unsafe or unsure of what was going on during certifications.

Don, Mickey, and the amazing team of staff (dive masters, instructors, and shore support) at Anchor Bay Scuba should be proud of what they do each and every day. – via

I did my padi open water and my advanced open water with anchor bay scuba. They run a very high standard and professional course, from the instructors to the equipment you use. Can’t say enough good things about Don and his team. Anchor Bay Scuba is the tops. Liz and I just finished our open water certification last weekend at White Star Quarry. The patience they had with us and the other students is what makes them the best. They explained everything and let you know what is expected. It goes with out saying that we were with out a doubt very nervous about this as this being our first open water diving and not the pool we practiced in, but their patience and understanding put us at ease. They are awesome and of course Don’s jokes ( well we’ll leave that for another discussion. Thank you all. – via

My husband and I just completed our Open Water with Anchor Bay Scuba. If you are contemplating on which Dive Shop to go through I could not recommend Anchor Bay enough. The staff was so kind and professional. They truly made us feel welcome and comfortable. The whole experience was SO enjoyable. We are already looking forward to beginning our Advance Open Water with them. 10/10. Absolutely an amazing experience start to end. – via

My husband Jake and I just wrapped up our PADI open water certification with Anchor Bay Scuba at White Star Quarry in Ohio. We had such a fun weekend with Don + his team and felt completely safe with them on all 4 dives. They’re great at communicating what’s expected by the student throughout the course, without being stressful. We did our classes at the in store pool plus kept up skills on a pool night at the high school. We always feel welcome and like Don’s keeping a special eye on us, but he makes everyone feel that way. Look no further for a MI dive shop they will take great care of you! Shout out to Amanda and Matt our Master Diver guides this weekend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – via
