This school was a gem to find. It came up at just the perfect time. While our youngest was struggling through middle school in Bay county and ready for high school we were lost. Having put 2 children through Bay High and 2 through Mosley neither were a fit for our youngest child.

I happened to have a friend send me a news cast about this school. She knew the struggle with high schools we were having. Our youngest was enrolled that night. She didn’t learn about until sometime in July. But she loves it. There are minor hiccups with a small school but she’ll work through them.

I wish this were an option for our other children. This is a very cool experience. This class gets to grow with the school. What a unique opportunity. Every child is well taken care of with the 4 amazing teachers that are a wonderful team. So grateful to be a part of Maritime Academy. – via

Was super excited to find this gem for my son’s high school experience. Having smaller class sizes are really a benefit for him and he’s been excelling. The teachers and other parents have gone above and beyond to make the curriculum something to look forward to. I can not rave enough about this school! If you have a future highschooler I recommend Maritime Academy:) – via

I was under the assumption the school was an “at risk” school. That however is not true!

It’s a college prep, STEM school that provides so much more than a high school diploma with college credits.

The school is unique. It’s a gift to Panama City. It’s on the water, small class sizes, and so much opportunity! My son is a basketball player and has had the privilege of playing with our local public high school while attending Maritime. The certifications he has already received while only being halfway through ninth grade is amazing..

This school is far superior to any other in Bay County. Their smaller class sizes allow for more student-teacher interaction and one-on-one tutoring. Their electives are exciting and engaging. They have two ROTC programs. They are well equipped to care for students with special needs, IEPs, and 509s. They are quick to respond to any questions or concerns a parent may have. The teachers and administrative staff are amazing, and my kids are actually excited to go to school every day.
Honestly I’m kind of jealous hearing about all the cool stuff their doing in their elective classes. I wish we had a program like this when I was growing up! Moving my children to this school, and out of Bay District Schools was the best decision pertaining to their education that I have made. – via

A great new charter high school that has a very exciting curriculum centered on drones both flying and underwater! The Marine Science programs are hands-on and include environmental projects with outside agencies like Florida Fish and Wildlife and Baywatch. The construction program builds tiny homes! I wish they had a high school like this when I was a kid! – via
