I would highly recommend Alona divers! The whole staff was very friendly and professional. My instructor Jojo (or cipooz) was super nice, accommodating, and very informative!! He made my whole certification course go very smoothly and ensured safety was the biggest priority when training! He made me a confident diver!! Would highly recommend him as an instructor if you’re thinking about getting a scuba certification!! Thank you again to all the staff at Alona divers and can’t wait to see you guys again! 😀 – via google

Highly recommend this diving center! We only did one local dive and it was amazing. The whole crew was super professional and friendly. Even though we booked last minute, they were very helpful and flexible. Would definitely go back. – via google

(Translated by Google) I did two balicasag dives and everything was fine even though we only saw one turtle. What I did not like is that they said that the instructors take gopros to take photos and then pass them on for free and then this was not true, my instructor did not have any gopros. My partner went snorkelling and it was a disastrous experience. It was supposed to be all inclusive. First they told us that it cost 1500 and the day of payment it was 900 and it also turned out that they didn’t have any more diving goggles so they didn’t give him anything. When the divers entered the water it seems that they forgot about the people who were going to snorkel (there were 3). After 15 minutes, they themselves asked when they could go to the water and they were told you can go now. They did it but they didn’t t see any turtles so after a while they went back to the boat and saw 5 turtles from it. The boys from the boat told them that at the second stop someone was going to accompany them to show them the turtles, but later that was not the case. They only pointed out where they had to go, which was quite far and with the current that day it was quite hard for the three of them to swim there and return without fins, only with the life jacket. I do not recommend doing a snorkel excursion with this school at all. Diving if I recommend it. which was quite far and with the current that day it was quite hard for the three of them to swim there and return without fins, only with the life jacket. – viaGoogle

Just recently got OW and decided to do fundive in Bohol. In 2021 i did my DSD with Alona Divers so i decided to come back. We went to Balicasag and Danao Wall, saw a whale shark and turtle in Danao. It was a great time. Might come back late this year. – via google

My family went diving with Toto and PJ for 8 days and I can’t recommend them enough! My parents (both 60+) were unsure of diving after meeting a dive master that was less friendly but got back deep into diving after meeting them. They were friendly, patient, and very pleasant to be around. Excellent at teaching! They are also very good at spotting all the little creatures that I would have totally missed without their help. My parents now want to dive only with Toto and PJ so we will be back 🙂

Also on the dive shop: their rental gear was well maintained, and they throughly cleaned our owned-gear at the end of every day. At the end of the trip, they delivered an accurate quote, which I have not seen from other dive shops before. People are friendly, and the resident dogs/cats are super cute.

Thanks Alona, Toto, and PJ! We’ll see you again soon 🙂 – via google

Garden Island Resort: Truly made my Fiji holiday an extraordinary experience.
Upon arrival, Josephine greeted me with a cheerful smile and a bubbly personality. Her kindness and attention were evident throughout my stay. Her daily chit-chats when passing through reception were an absolute delight.
Leba, the resort manager, also ensured that all my needs were met and joined me for dinner a couple of nights.
The dining and bar team was an exceptional group of people. Always friendly, always accommodating.
Meals are “pre-ordered” from a new menu daily. Daily menus offered a broad enough selection of white, red meat, and vegetarian options. Try the curries and RouRou patties. The food was always fresh and delicious. You can taste the passion in each of Chef Sinu’s dishes.
The room facilities are a bit dated, and the room service can pay more attention to cleaning, but I was still pleased with my accommodation.
The diving…the diving…I have no words to describe the Rainbow Reef. It was like I was diving in a National Geographic video. The reef is in pristine condition. Also, the water was spotlessly clean (kudos to the no garbage floating around or scattered on the side or beaches). The dive team from the resort made every dive special, and I received the royal treatment.
Garden Island Resort is the place to go if you want a remote, less touristy, relaxing holiday with mind-blowing diving! – via google
