From the moment we arrived the Staff were all friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered a wide range of different options to choose from. And I personally had a blast at their day spa offering massages and facials. Our room was so neat and organized. We had a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. I personally love coffee. I must say that Heron Island Resort is a paradise. – via google

I have been coming to Heron since I was a little kid. It’s one of my favourite places in the world. As always the marine life and the island were just amazing. I would like to thank the staff, all of them. They keep this place running. They were visibly overworked and short staffed a lot of the time yet still giving their best to all customers. Higher management, if you read this please look after your staff and make their jobs easier. I had no complaints about anything but I could see customers looking at the facilities and prices for everything and being dumbfounded. Heard people saying they would never go there again. It is very sad because it truly is a special place. Any bad review you get has nothing to do with the staff, they seem to be the ones keeping the cogs turning. The staff at the shearwater, you are all so kind and amazing people. The crew at reception, so approachable and lovely and helpful. All the other staff we encountered greeted us with smiles and made us feel so welcome . Thank you – via google

Just go some where else, I have too many examples of why the staff and resort at Heron Island made this paradise a disappointing stay. From the lack of professionalism by a number of staff from the restaurant to the marine centre, I would spend your money elsewhere. Lady Elliot is a much better alternative for everything from snorkelling and diving to overall experience, and based on the age of a number of the poor reviews, management has no inclination to do better and for the cost of the trip, I would spend it anywhere else. – via google
