Our family of four had a great experience with Ahambi and an amazing time on the Mt. Kenya (up Sirimon and down Chogoria) trek. Eldad and Patrick were phenomenal guides and their knowledge of the flora and fauna was incredibly extensive. Furthermore, they described cultural customs and history of the region. Whenever we had questions, they had answers! Eldad was masterful in the way he managed the team as well as in how he helped our group successfully reach the summit. The porters and cooks were wonderful and friendly. We were so appreciative that they were able to cook vegetarian food for some of our group and the meals far exceeded our expectations. We recommend Ahambi most highly for your adventures and look forward to a future expedition with them! – via

We did a 5-day hike with Ahambi tours on Mt. Kenya, walking up the Sirimon route and down the Chogoria route. Our guide was Eldad and he was just amazing. It seems he knows everything about plants and nature surrounding us. We also had a lot of general questions about Kenya that he was very happy to answer at all times. We were a bit unlucky with the weather and one of us also suffered a bit from altitude sickness, so he flexibly rearranged the plan and we summited on the third afternoon with nice weather accompanied by Jackson, one of the porters. Still, Eldad was happy to do the planned sunrise summit on the fourth day with only one of us. He also helped us a lot if there were difficult parts on the hike. Regarding food, it was just amazing, always 2-3 courses and we loved the soups in the evening to heat up!
So far, we would give 5 stars, however at the end of the trip, we didn’t give enough tips. This was clearly communicated and we were pushed to give more. We thought this was really rude, unprofessional and inappropriate, as this should be seen on a voluntary base and not as a requirement at the end of the trip. So at the end, this left unfortunately a very bad last impression of – apart from that – perfect 5 days. 4 stars only.. – via
