Stopped by here for a lunch this past weekend and was blown away. All check marks in all categories. Beautiful entrance, great views, good drinks, quality food and good service. We got the Patatas Bravas and Croquetas de Cangrejo to start. Both very very good. It was between the lobster roll and txule-burger. We got both and they were to die for. The lobster roll was fresh and tasty. The burger was a smashed burger with the most wonderful brioche bun. Finished the day off with the Profiterole and wouldn’t change a thing about. Will definitely be back! – via

Extremely rude servers. After walking in during lunch, we were directed to our table by a server. After sitting down for a couple of minutes and ordering food, suddenly a very rude server came up to us and demanded that we should walk to the front desk with her to be checked in again, even though we were checked in by another host when she was not around. I did so to spare the rest of our group. What she asked for? Name and phone number which she entered on a tablet she took out of her pocket! I asked if the table was improperly assigned and she said it was correct. She could have just asked my name at the table without being rude, snapping at us, or demanding one of us to be escorted by her to her desk outside. – via

Agua Viva by Jose Andres is one of my new favorite open air brunch areas. It’s not quite rooftop (elevator said floor 10) but it has the vibes of a rooftop bar. The design aesthetics were absolutely amazing, giving me Tulum vibes. We went on a day after it rained and it was so clear, you could see the snow cap mountains in the background.

Now let’s talk about food. Not only was the food visually pleasing, it was absolutely delicious. My friend got the burger with aged ribeye and really enjoyed it. I got the lobster roll and it had a nice balance of creaminess, acidity, and there was textural variation with crunchy bits at the top. The roll itself was perfectly toasted and the fries were cooked to crispy perfection. I don’t eat oysters but the presentation was absolutely phenomenal. That dozen oysters were arranged on an ice platter with sea kelp and lemon. My favorite was actually the appetizer, the crab croquettes. Five individual croquettes were served in each order. They were packed full of sweet lump crab meat. There is practically no filler and it was amazing. You can see the photo of a cross section in my pictures. It was served with a chive, dill and coarse grained mustard aioli which complimented the sweet crab well.

Parking: there was some metered street parking close by near the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I think if you parked at the on site lot it would cost about $20 to valet. – via

Exceptional service and undeniably an incredible ambience with a 10th floor rooftop dining venue. All of our selections were really good and cooked to a superb standard.

For starters, our crab croquettes and potatoes hit the spot – cooked perfectly crispy without being too heavy. Light and tasty. The drinks were good, but nothing special for the area considering the rich variety of bars within walking distance downtown. The Soba Salad took home the cake, with a fascinating texture and beaming sense of freshness. Lobster roll sandwich was alright but nothing too special… and of course the burger hit the spot but at $30 I’d expect more. Lastly, the steak was made perfectly to medium rare and garnished with finesse.

While I understand the artisanal craftsmanship and luxury location, the offerings seemed disproportionately expensive for what they turned out to be, in my peasant opinion. The price is on the higher side… I would expect a higher variety of offerings and something a bit less lackluster at this price point.

Nonetheless, an amazing dining experience with an exquisite view of downtown Los Ángeles to top it off. Worth crediting the service workers who were nothing but kind (and refilled our waters at every given opportunity)! – via
