Came to townsville mostly to see and dive around the reef and underwater museum. During this time each trip out was cancelled on us. They say it is for weather reasons, so the slightest bit of wind and they wont go out, anywhere else in the world would of made it happen. Then it takes 5 days to get ur refund, but upon making payment its out of the accoint in 5 mins. They shouldnt take the payment until the trip is confirmed to go ahead just only take details for hold. – via google

Be aware of the fine print when booking your once in a life time experience with them. In case they don’t get the numbers for their profit margin, they cancel on you no matter if you travelled around the world to get to see the reef. It’s ok to miss out on an opportunity because of Mother Nature, but because of soaring fuel prices??? Seriously?! Better go with a smaller provider who understands the passion of a life long dream… – via google

I booked the liveaboard (3d/3n) to go to Yongala and also the day trip for Moua.
Amazing dive sites. Crew onboard very knowledgeable.
Thanks to Paul (skip of the liveaboard – shared all his wisdom), Thomas (instructor) and Alana (extra special divemaster – THANK YOU for guiding us).

After reading some of the comments I would like to add that for the live aboard the accommodation and food are basic, but it correlates to the price perfectly.

About cancellations, for the liveaboard the company did their best to not cancel, we were only 7 passengers and the trip still happened, so I think that they do their best to make trips happen. – via google

I came to buy a fin strap, Cressi fin strap, because I lost it while diving. After they sold me a Cressi fin strap in dubious condition, it broke 2 minutes into diving. I wanted an exchange, and they told me to wait for 2 weeks. After that time, what I found is an $8 generic fin strap instead of the Cressi I ordered, and they didn’t refund me the cost difference. – via google

1.0/ 5

My partner and I completed the 3-day 3-night liveaboard on the Sea Esta in October and we were less than happy with the experience for the price we paid.

The Sea Esta is best described as an outdated, dangerous, spew-fest. The cabins were crampted, uncomfortable and the bedding appears to have not been changed since the 1970s (my pillow was completely flat and a deep brown in colour with sweat marks and I was suitably disgusted). This vessel is well behind all modern liveaboards in terms of comfort, facilities and safety and should have been decomissioned many years ago. Some double cabins are located below the rear deck directly next to the engines and are badly affected by defening engine sound and diesel fumes. Every morning you are awoken by the defening sound of the anchor regardless of which cabin you are located in. Stairways are narrow, steep and dangerous especially in heavy weather. Our trip was affected by extremely rough weather and in my opinion, it should have been cancelled but I suspect the fully booked trip was enough to convince these operators to push on. People were vomitting throughout the night every night as the boat would be moved between sites in the small hours of the morning and no instructions were provided by crew as to what to do if we got sea sick. The Sea Esta is an extremely slow ship with the trip out to the reef taking about 8 hours of brutal slogging overnight and the trip back from the Yongala on day 3 taking around 6 hours.

The crew were friendly and generally one of the very few highlights of the trip however the food was of a low quality even for the price point of a relatively affordable libeaboard. The diving was average in terms of coral reef sites, there were large areas of damaged and bleached corals and a distict lack of fish life. In simple terms, the reefs visited by this trip are poorer than those found closer to the coast off Cairns. The Yongala is an incredibly unique and historic dive site however it is worth remembering that it is located in open water and is badly affected by swell, wind and currents.

If you are still considering this trip I would strongly recommend you reconsider and book on with Pro Dive or Divers Den in Cairns where you can complete more dives on a 2-night liveaboard with far more modern vessels. And if you wish to dive the Yongala I would recommend diving with a Yongala Dive daytrip out of Ayr. – via google

Such a lovely day out at MOUA with Adrenalin Snorkel & Dive (much more interesting than the pictures of the sculptures online). We were well looked after on our intro to scuba and the snorkelling was amazing! A well run operation, looking after us with snacks throughout the day with opportunities for reef education whilst acknowledging some folks might simply be there for fun. Highly recommend. – via google

This is NOT a fake company!

I can not understand why people always complaining about weather circumstances. Some people wrote: “they cancelled because of the weather” gave 1 star. Other people wrote: “We went on the tour and people got seasick because auf the weather” 1 star.

To be honest: What should the crew do? Rain dances or sun prayers?

I experienced one of the most exciting days in my life. The crew was awesome. We got nice snacks, perfect introduction and really nice information about the GBR. The equipment was clean and could be changed if something does not fit.

It was well planned an we took nice pictures with the rent Go Pro.

I saw so much underwater nature i cant even explain It in words. Just do this!

Thanks for the nice day! I would ever recommend Adrenalin Snorkling! – via google
