Today, we had the most amazing 2 try dives, I have never dived aged 50, and my wife has, but 23 years ago now 44.
We had our own instructor Kara with us the whole time, just the 3 of us. Kara explained where we would go, what to expect, and the safety aspects we needed to complete at the beginning of the dive.
On the dive boat with other divers we were the last to leave, so there was no pressure as you have to roll off the side, scary at first but so cool. Kara guided us through our safely drills and made sure we were safe just under the water, once we were happy off we went, I couldn’t believe we were 12m down swimming in the coral with the fish. Kara was just above us keeping us safe and at the right depth the whole time.
That first dive was 40min but seemed like 10min.
Back to base for lunch (incuded) where Kara briefed us on the next dive site and what to expect. This time, she said once we are happy underwater, she will go ahead and point out the more unusual and things you don’t see if you don’t know what to look for.
After our backward roll off the side of the boat (so cool), kara checked us over, and we descended down to the coral. With our breathing and buoyancy now under control we explored the fantastic underwater world with Kara pointing out all the different fish, including puffa, sea horse, rock fish, nemo and all his friends to name just a few.
Another 40-minute dive, and we are back on the boat, beaming smiles and struggling to believe how amazing this experience was.
If someone tells you
“you see just as much snorkeling”
They have not been with the right dive company. You pay for what you get.
