Rolando helped me for my open water course. Had a really nice experience, he explained everything nice and slowly so it was easy to understand. I even got private lessons with no extra charge (i dont know if this is usual or because it was not busy). Really recommend going for a few dives or for a course. The cenotes were great and the reef was really cool. – via

These guys are amazing! Was in Tulum for a month and got my Advanced Diver and Nitrox certification with them. Orlando and Alex are phenomenal and were willing to work around my busy work schedule. If you want a curated diving experience go with this shop. Will definitely go back next time I’m in Tulum. – via

I recently embarked on an awe-inspiring adventure with Manuel from Tulum Dive and Adventure (coordinated with Dive Paradise), and I must say that it was an experience of a lifetime. From the moment we stepped foot in the shop until the end of our excursion, Manuel’s exceptional service and attention to detail left a lasting impression.
Our journey began as Manuel picked us up promptly at the ferry dock, and his warm and friendly demeanor immediately put us at ease. He expertly navigated the route to Cancun, all the while engaging us in delightful conversation and sharing interesting insights about the area. Manuel’s coordination with the boats through Isles de Mujeres ensured a smooth and seamless trip, leaving no room for any uncertainties.
What truly set Manuel apart was his communication throughout the entire adventure. He provided us with comprehensive information about what to expect, ensuring that we felt prepared and confident. His professionalism and dedication to our enjoyment were evident as he went above and beyond to make sure we had an incredible time.
The highlight of our excursion was undoubtedly the opportunity to swim with the magnificent whale sharks. Witnessing these majestic creatures up close was an absolute privilege, and the experience left us in awe. However, what impressed us even more was the deep respect and passion Manuel and his team demonstrated towards the animals. Their commitment to preserving and protecting the marine life was truly inspiring and added an extra layer of significance to our adventure.
As if swimming with whale sharks wasn’t enough, Manuel surprised us with a bonus trip in the middle of our journey. We were treated to a mouthwatering feast consisting of handmade guacamole and ceviche. Taking a break on the stunning beach, savoring the delicious food, and absorbing the natural beauty around us made the experience even more remarkable.
Undeniably, this excursion with Tulum Dive and Adventure is a must-do when visiting the area. Manuel’s exceptional service, professionalism, and genuine love for the ocean and its inhabitants make him the ideal guide for such a unique and thrilling adventure. If you’re seeking an unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience, look no further than Tulum Dive and Adventure. – via

This was the second time we went with Acuatic because we had great experience the first time we went diving with them 4 yrs ago. This time we did our Advanced course with them in various cenotes. Our instructor Orlando was great, knowledgeable and patient with us. He explained everything before each dive. We had great experience again and we will always come back here when in the area. Thank you! – via

We were a group of three adult advanced divers mostly. One of us rented gear and had no problems. We found Alex (the owner) and Orlando (divemaster) very friendly and helped us understand which dive options to choose as well as some of the history of the cenotes in the area. Alex (the divemaster) was our guide. He went out of his way to accommodate our needs and made our experience delightful. It was our first time diving in cenotes and will definitely return for more in the future. Thanks for everything! – via

Tribal Tulum
It’s difficult to put into words just how special a yoga/scuba retreat at Tribal Tulum is. This is my third time coming to this exact same retreat and is has become a second home for me. Joanne is a fabulous hostess and makes me feel safe and meets my every need. Her staff is kind and courteous.
The rooms are palatial and clean. They are luxurious, comfortable, and decorated exquisitely. Breakfast is provided and the room comes with a kitchen!
My dive guides, Alex and Orlando, are patient and thorough in their explanations before every Cenote. And the Cenotes never fail to disappoint!! With the right light from above, they can become a light and magic show with refractions bouncing from every direction off the cavern walls. Alex and Orlando provide snacks and anticipate my needs. They are very knowledgeable and kind. I never feel rushed and they assist me along the way at every step. Although I mostly come for the Cenotes, I also had a day of ocean dives which were spectacular.
After two or three dives and a hot shower I may venture off into town or the beach with a bike provided to me by Tribal Tulum. The Mayan Ruins are fascinating and the history is intriguing. The local food is delicious.
Yoga is available every evening in a variety of styles and teachers. Eugenia, Blanca, Maya, and, Joanne each have a different approach and style and I have learned so much in my time here. Tribal Tulum is the only studio in Tulum with wall ropes for a completely different experience of getting into poses and inversions.
Every day is a new adventure!! I can’t say enough good things about this experience! I’d give it five stars and a very enthusiastic two thumbs up! I can’t wait to come back. – via

I did my advanced divers license with Acuatic and Orlando and although all in all I am happy and I am over the moon that I have my license and I was able to do/see what I did, there were a few things that did bother me a little bit, which are just things I like to point out to make it an even better experience for everyone else to come (Acuatic is still a recommendation as dive center). It was my first dive after one year and I felt really rushed at my first dive, I do not think it was the best idea to put me to the open water course (not because I am better, definitley not what I am saying) but just because I did not feel like there was a lot of focus put on my training in this instance and things were sort of forgotten. Also I told Orlando at 700psi that I am out of air and we still kept on going and even though it might be true that on this dive I just used more air than the others (because I was getting used to it again), there should have been more awareness about the situation and not making be feel bad later on because I was out of air quicker (of course I should have also focussed on it even more). The other dives, especially the cenote dives went must more smooth and way better in all aspects – on a personal note thought – please do not speak spanish the whole time (instructions were in english) if you have one dive trainee with you (3 people in total) that barely speaks the language. That just makes one feel very excluded and not comfortable, like no bonding going on what so ever and me just standing there. Orlando is an amazing diver and of course knows a lot, so there is defintitely so much to learn from him, I think we just were not on the same wave and maybe that played into a few things, I dont know. Just the more major things mentioned here. – via
