I went for a Great barrier reef snorkeling and diving cruise with my elderly parents and sister, and it was Simply Amazing!. The crew was joyful, attentive, approachable, funny and extremely helpful. The food was fresh and delicious. The snorkeling and diving instructors were highly knowledgeable and made everyone feel safe and comfortable. They encouraged all participants who were non confident swimmers and well supported the participants who were confident with their swimming ability. The entire crew had great energy and positive vibes. I would do this again and would recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the great barrier reef for the first time. – via

After researching many different dive shops, we went with American Scuba Academy.
Everyone in the shop was so immensely helpful. Greg the owner knows more about scuba diving than pretty much anyone! Our instructor Mitch and DM Mike were awesome. We had a blast, and left knowing that we got a top-notch education. I highly recommend the American Scuba Academy as a safe and fun place to learn scuba and get all your gear from a reputable source (who won’t try to over sell you for things you don’t need!). Everyone in the shop was so helpful. 🙂 – via

This is a fantastic shop, highly recommended! I took the open water course as well as received Nitrox certification through here. Chris was my instructor and Mark was the dive master helping him with our class. They both did an incredible job teaching me all the necessary skills to be safe underwater. They care about your learning, it’s more than just a job for them it’s a passion and they want everyone to enjoy it as much as they do which is what you want to see from someone teaching you. Shout out to Julie who helped them out the first few days of class, she’s extremely friendly and helped me learn the basic skills. As for the shop itself, the staff are well experienced and friendly, they help you find the right product and answer any questions you may have. Check this shop out if you haven’t, it was a life changing experience for me! – via

I highly recommend getting your certification here!
Greg the owner was fantastic very helpful very friendly has a beautiful shop. I Took the open water diver certification course my instructor Chris was fantastic he taught you everything you need to know make sure you understood everything you were learning made sure you didn’t have any questions couldn’t ask for a better instructor. Mark the dive master that assisted Chris was phenomenal I am 63 and how do use an extra 34 pounds of weight which was hard for me to carry but Marc was there to help me all the time I highly recommend taking their certification course! – via
