We had 5 wonderful days of diving with the amazing crew from Academy Bay Diving. Booked via travel agency, everything was already settled, trying on wetsuits and fins the day before diving went well and quickly. On the boat everything was well organized, the briefings superb and the whole team, especially Joao very helpful. Not to forget the captain Xavier, who managed the boat even through a sometimes more rougher sea. Unfortunately I’m getting seasick very easily, but I felt being in good hands all the time. There was a full service by getting all the equipment on. Gaby and Leo are super guides, humerous, competent and friendly and patient (e.g. with the fresh divers). What I appreciated was the “check diving” (pulling off the mask and the regulator under the water in order to see the everyone is able to do this). And a nice service too is that we could download the pictures at the end of the day, the guides had made.
And the dive spots have been amazing! I’ve never seen so much especially so many sharks (and with about 60 dives I’ve been to some places before ??). So, Galapagos for me is on the best diving areas ever and Academy Bay Diving the best diving center to enjoy this! – via google

Great experience with Academy Bay diving at Gordon Rocks! The gears were good, the boat was spacious and extremely clean, the crew was super friendly, our dive master gave a very clear brief and under water, helped one diver with low air to continue a bit longer the dive. The food was also really tasty both for the snack and lunch.

This is hands down one of the best dive centers I’ve ever been to in my 30 years of diving.
Hugo and his team went truly above and beyond.
Boat was well equipped, everything was carefully thought through, dive briefings were detailed and gave all the info needed for the dives. Our dive guide Leo not only pointed out everything to see but also helped with buoyancy and filmed the whole experience that he shared with us for free after.
We dived at Gordon Rocks and saw schooling hammerheads, black tips, eagle, golden and mobula rays and plenty more.

Great careing people .
I came for my 70th to the Galapagos. Went diving with the academy dive shop with my 2 sons.
They took unbelievable good care of all of us on the boat.
I was impressed by their great care and love for the job.
The best dives I had for the past 55 years of diving.
Highly recommend.

We dived with Academy Bay Diving for 3 days as a group of 5 friends. It’s very professional and well organized dive center. They provide good quality equipment. There is drinkable water on the boat, snacks, a towel for everyone and a delicious lunch after the dives. Boat is comfortable. The crew is friendly and helpful. They assemble equipment and help to put it on and take it off. It is possible to get free GoPro videos of each dive, which the guide records. You need to have your memory card for this.

Our guide was Leo. He is very professional with experience. He found practically everything we could: hammerhead sharks, sea lions, turtles, eagle rays, nudibranch and even a mola mola. The dives lasted about 50 minutes and exceeded all our expectations.

We would recommend this dive center to anyone. – via google

I will start by saying that the dive crew was friendly and professional, and I had a lovely time diving with them. The reason for one star is that the owner, Alice, is an absolutely miserable person who berates her employees, treats the customers like garbage, and walks around with a permanent scowl on her face. Having to deal with such an awful person ruined the experience for me. I sincerely recommend going with Scuba Iguana. – via google

I am an experienced diver. I’ve been diving arround the world for more than 20 years. But the attitude towards clients I have received from Academy Bay Diving I’ve never seen before.
All started yesterday when we arrived at shop to choose the equipment for the diving. You know, in Europe we are used to the attitude that clients are welcomed with smile. Not in this place…The lady in the shop did not even say hello to us.
Next day it appeared that my teenager son who is Junior Advanced Diver with an experience of a lot of technically heavy dives, such as cave, shipwreck, night and river, was not allowed to go to Gordon Rocks. In a very unpolite and rather rude way I was explained a lot of different reasons why he cannot go there…Like not enough experience, not sufficient age etc. At the end it appeared that this company does not want to do anything with children divers (hmmm, 15-years of age I guess is not a child anymore). Anyway, I was wondering, what is this technically superb dive…And guess, what…It was one of the easiest dives I’ve ever had…
To summarize…I suggest you not to have any business with this company. Especially, if you have teenager divers together with you. This company hates them, because they think they are small children. In addition, I’ve never seen such old-stylish equipment and an average dive masters. And this, of course, is for enormously high price. As for the owners of the company…I invite you to come to our Northern Europe country and do some river dives. And only afterwards you are going to be able to judge, what actually is technically hard dive. – via google

Un centro de buceo muy recomendable. Entré a preguntar y me quedé a bucear. Son muy profesionales y hacen de cada inmersión una buena experiencia. Alexia, la jefa es muy atenta y me resolvió cualquier duda, mi traslado y alojamiento a la isla Isabela y también contraté con ella un liveaboard a las islas Darwin y Wolf.

We felt very safe and have two very relaxing dives. I highly recommend Academy Bay in Punta Ayora Galapagos. Academy Bay Diving is a very profesionnal, organized and attentive to your need dive tour/shop. We had reserved, 6 month a head, through Alice by emails before our trip to the Galapagos. She always answered our questions promptly and was very helpful. We reserved 8 dives in total. The boat is very clean, powerful and spacious. The Capitain, the Crew and Master Dive Guides worked togheter in a very coordinated way. Their instructions, expectations and communications were always clear and polite. They helped out with putting on your gear and with exit and entry on boat. They always offered a very much appreciated warm tea after your first dive and snacks. The luches are excellent and they tend to your prefered food (they offer option or vegetarian and vegan). Academy Bay Diving made our trip memorable.
