Have previously done the GBR with a larger company which didn’t provide much reef activity. We brought the kids up to FNQ and wanted to show them the GBR. We came across ABC and the limit of 12, small business and flexibility in snorkel locations interested us.
Went out today and absolutely loved it! Great service, knowledge and support. Our family of 4 had our own expert in the water with us.

ABC Charters was the highlight of our entire trip to Australia! The marine biologists were incredibly knowledgeable & friendly.

Obviously having only 6 passengers per guest is a tad more pricey, but it was so worth it. We felt safe in the open waters and were able to spot little creatures our eyes weren’t trained to see.

The ABC experience has been our favorite excursion we’ve taken across the globe.

We were a tad weary of the price and being all the way up in Port Douglas — but this exceeded all expectations! Don’t think twice, just book and be amazed by the Great Barrier Reef’s beauty. – via

Outstanding Great Barrier Reef Snorkel!!!

ABC exceeded expectations for a private Port Douglas snorkel tour from our cruise stop. We had a local boat driver and 2 wonderful Marine Biologists (Collum & Sam) for 9 tourists. Went way out to reef areas the large vessels can’t enter. The coral was gorgeous; the sea life was abundant (giant clams & parrotfish, starfish, clownfish, etc.). Spent total of 2 1/2 hours snorkeling with our expert for 4 people! I’m 70 & snorkeled great locations in Florida, Hawaii, Caribbean, etc. This was the best ever! Only problem is that it was tricky locating the boat as it’s down the road from the big operations. This snorkel experience was the highlight of our 10-day Australian cruise. – via

Had a wonderful experience snorkelling. The small group aspect really elevates the experience. We had Sam and Callum as our guides and their knowledge of the reef was impressive. Our boat driver Toby also did an excellent job getting us there and back in an efficient manner. Would most definitely recommend this snorkelling experience for anybody that is considering booking. – via

We would highly recommend this tour if you want to really enjoy the great barrier reef.
We were only 10 in the group which allowed us to fully experience the barrier without the crowds like in other tours.
They searched the perfect snorkeling spot and we were able to see turtles, sharks, sting rays and so many other fishes.
It was really a perfect day even if the weather was not good.
We would like to thank the crew for showing us such a wonder of nature! – via

The day was amazing!! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a personal snorkel experience on the reef! The crew .. Sam, Callum, and our captain were incredibly knowledgeable and fun! I along with my 4 twenty something aged kids loved from beginning to end! Special shout out to Sam who guided us around to show us the amazing reef! Ten out of ten!! – via

ABC’s Great Barrier Reef snorkel trip was out of this world. It was a small boat taking a maximum of 12 guests. The experience was nothing short of sublime. Highly recommend ABC tours if you are ever in Port Douglas. An American fellow passenger had gone out on a boat for 400 yesterday and all he saw was brown coral. We saw a profusion of brightly coloured coral, some sharks, two turtles and endless other beautiful fish. Magical. The staff, Toby the skipper, Callum and Sam the marine biologists who take you out for two 90 minute dives were enthusiastic, knowledgeable and so experienced. 10/10 experience. – via

This was an amazing trip. We have enjoyed it from the start to the end! We had the chance to see lots of fauna and flora in the reef with explanations of our guide Sam. Very well planning on the trip with two stops and a coffee break in between, even the lunch that was served was super great!!

Wir hatten einen wahnsinnig tollen Tag mit den Jungs! Haben eine Menge gesehen und gelernt. Das Great Barrier Reef ist absolut eine Reise Wert, und das sollte man nicht auf einem großen Touristenbomber erleben, sondern in kleiner Runde. Wir haben uns sehr sicher gefühlt, hatten sehr viel Zeit alles in Ruhe anzusehen, es wurde sehr viel erklärt und die Ausrüstung wie Schnorchelmaske und Anzug waren top!

Mesmerising experience seeing and snorkelling into the Great Barrier Reef and Corals . Crew of Sam, Casey & Jen was wonderful, experienced and highly knowledgeable.
I would % recommend to everyone who’s looking for to book their snorkelling adventures and wondering who they should book with. In Port Douglas, ABC Snorkel Team takes small groups and provide the best professionals and friendly marine life experience which stays with you as a once a Life time Experience.
