Don’t even look for other companies, this one is the best you’re going…
Don’t even look for other companies, this one is the best you’re going to find, hands down! I did my research and am so glad I did. They legit are the only operator where you do not have to go across the bay in order to get to the springs. We booked the Clear Kayak Manatee Tour and despite the cloudy, rainy and windy weather, we had an amazing time.
From the second we stepped foot outside of the car, the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I had called earlier in the day to make sure they were still operating due to the weather, and the gentleman who I’m presuming is the owner, even remembered speaking with me. Precious was our tour guide and she was extremely informative without being overbearing or robotic. She gave us a plethora of wildlife and nature facts while making it sound like we were just having a friendly conversation. She has a deep respect for all of the creatures and their habitat. Another employee, Morgan, accompanied us as well and was equally as informative. She even doubled as our photographer!
The kayak was in pristine condition and the rest of their equipment appeared to be in tip top shape. The grounds are also in very good condition, even whilst undergoing renovations to repair the damage caused by the devastating tornado that ran through last year.
We were at the tail end of the season but still managed to see several manatees, a bird who had just caught a fish, several turtles, many birds, an owl and even a dolphin!
