I cannot recommend Cozumel Dive School enough!! I had an amazing time, learned a ton, and met some fantastic people.

I recently completed my Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses at CDS and would recommend taking their courses to anyone. The instructors are amazing people and so knowledgeable about what they do. Matt and Peter are fantastic teachers and great people. They really went out of their way to make sure that we knew our skills and had a great time while diving.

The school itself was clean, organized, and well run. Having accommodation on-site was a fantastic perk, as well.

I would definitely dive with CDS again. Thanks for an amazing week! – via google

Sinceramente no me hospede debido a que me cobraron por adelantado mi estadía, siendo que en Argentina cobran un 30% adicional por pago con tarjeta, desde el Hostel no te brindan una sola respuesta, a pesar que la reserva que realice era PAGO AL ALOJAMIENTO. Tuve muchos problemas por ello, sin son de Argentina no reserven en este Hostel, porque les va a pasar lo mismo, hay Hostel mucho mejores y más baratos – via google

I stayed at 2Tank in a private room with 2 friends. The hostel is what I expect of a hostel and then some. It has a nice lounge area to hang out and socialize with others and a nice kitchen. The hostel provides clean water for 10 pesos a day, as well as free coffee, corn flakes, pasta, and rice. There are shelves and a fridge to store your food, as well as dishes and two hot plates. The hostel has a nice bathroom space and clean showers (I saw them clean them every day!). The staff are helpful and friendly and can offer good suggestions for where to eat and what to do. Diving with them was great! They take you on a very nice boat that has a bathroom and provide a delicious lunch in between dives. The PADI certification class is very thorough, and teaches you the skills you need to know to feel confident diving. Edgar was the BEST diving instructor! He explains things very well, is funny, patient, and helps you learn at your pace to be successful diving. The location is great in the center of the city and the hostel is very affordable. Bring some earplugs because during waking hours sounds be very echoey-but nothing earplugs or headphones can’t take care of. There is heating(if you need it…) and air-conditioning in the rooms. The hostel feels very safe and there is an all-female dorm if you are a female traveling in a group or by yourself. Also bring a padlock for a locker if you would like. If you are used to 5 star hotels or haven’t traveled frequently, best of staying at an all-inclusive resort, but if you like to travel, have stayed in hostels, and are on a budget, this place will exceed your expectations! Can’t wait to come back and stay with them again! – via google

Somos dos personas que estuvimos hospedados en su hostel. Salimos esta mañana después de estar 2 noches. Acabamos de llegar a nuestro hostal en Cancún y cuando sacamos la bolsa donde tenemos guardado nuestro dinero. El no se encontraba ahí. Osea alguien de nuestra habitación que compartimos con dos muchachos que vivían ahí y un chico de israel tomo nuestro dinero. El monto que aprox. era 2000 dolares. El dinero estaba con el pasaporte. El cual se encontraba en la bolsa. No creo que el chico de israel ande sacando dinero de los lockers cerrados con candado. Asi que yo si fuera usteded me chequiaria mejor a quien meto a vivir en su hostel. Otra cosa menor es que me fui a duchar olvide mi short de baño colgado en la ducha y cuando regreso a las dos horas ya no estaba. – via google

Quiero contar algo que me pasó en ese hostel para que estén prevenidos. Estuve dos noches en un dormi, compartía la habitación con dos voluntarios que trabajan allí, uno de ellos de Inglaterra, guarde mí pasaporte y dinero en uno de las lockers y cerré con cansado, ohhh sorpresa cuando está tarde llegué a Cancún y quise sacar mis dólares para pagar otro hospedaje, el dinero había desaparecido y solo estaba el pasaporte en el estuche, por supuesto sospecho de estos dos empleados. espero que estés reseña llegue el responsable del hostel para que vea bien a quien tiene trabajando allí. – via google

Awesome place !
Everything was clean, the staff was so nice. I got greeted by Marianna when I came in on thursday and I felt welcomed as soon as I was in the place.
I rented a private room and it was not that expensive.
I met a lot of people and the vibe is really something there.
I booked 5 days/10dives and I spent the week scuba diving, drinking beer and eating tacos…Best week ever !

Will go back 100 % sure – via google

Worst customer service & management. Owner decided to “upgrade my room” without confirmation which caused double price just because i asked for a favor (to get a bottom bed if available/possible due to my knee problem). A hassle for 1 hour to get the price corrected & check in as the receptionist claimed the difference is due to taxes & fees. Seems like she can’t do math as 16% VAT and 3% city tax can’t double the price. The price i was given after getting back the original room i booked was still higher than my confirmed reservation. So I wanted it to be fixed which the staff didn’t really help, again another unpleasant hassle. Had to contact the booking website but they couldn’t reach to the hostel as the phone number they provide doesn’t exist, there’s no phone in the hostel i was told. They ended up complaining about me that they refunded me twice and that i screamed at them – to the card in the system (which isn’t active anymore so they can’t actually deposit anything, it has to bounce back) and in cash. I only received the cash. Can you share your security camera records showing me screaming? I have every right to be upset about getting overcharged and after chasing it for 3 days! PS: For me, this is all about attitude & treatment I received, not the money itself as it’s a very small amount.

I had been told that the room is full so only 1 top bed is available. Actually the first night there was nobody in the room other than me and another guy so 3 available bottom beds! Seems like it was more convenient to “upgrade my reservation” rather than checking your system to see that the guests in the room already left so it was empty?

There was no soap in the bathroom for 2 days, staff didn’t seem to be caring despite informing them twice. Common area has only one ceiling ventilator which isn’t enough, very hot. No windows in the rooms. No doors in showers, only curtains. Staff is extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. – via google

This review is long overdue! I stayed at Beachouse Dive Hostel back in May and it was incredible. I had never stayed in a hostel before but read the reviews before booking. The reviews were spot on – incredible hospitality and a very clean house. VERY relaxing! It sits far enough away from the downtown tourists but close enough to enjoy it. Tina is an incredible person – I can honestly say she made my trip. She gave me suggestions on what to do (if I wanted to do anything) but understood if I just wanted to relax. After my first day, her husband, Adolfo, came back and he too was awesome. They set me up with a scooter rental and they came right to the Beachouse to get me situated. I really wish I dove with Adolfo but will definitely be doing that next time.

If you are going to Cozumel, staying here is definitely the way to go. I have been talking about this experience ever since then. I have nothing but amazing things to say about Tina & Adolfo! I cannot wait to go again – I recommend this place to anyone that tells me they are going to Cozumel!!!!
