Anfangs schien alles ganz OK zu sein. Die Zimmer waren funktional und das Essen war auch OK. Aber nach einem genaueren Blick, können wir dieses Resort wirklich nicht empfehlen.
Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, aber laden irgendwie nicht zum Entspannen und erholen ein. Sie sind ein wenig schäbig. Die Matratzen unbequem. Es gibt eine Klimaanlage die ziemlich laut ist.
Nach 2 Jahren Phillipinen würde ich sagen, die Zimmer gehören eher und die Kategorie 10€-15€/Nacht.
Wasser muss man kaufen! In kleinen Plastikflaschen. Es gibt keine “Nachfüllstationen”. Das war das erste und einzige Mal, dass ich das je auf den Philippinen erlebt habe. Jede noch so kleine und spartanische Unterkunft hat immer Wasserspender!
Es gibt Haus und Hof Hunde. Einen kleinen winzigen weißen, einen der eher nach Straßenhund aussiehst (beide sehr freundlich und umgänglich) und einen deutschen Schäferhund der unfassbar unerzogen ist. Er scheint noch jung zu sein (auch wenn er schon so groß wie ein Kalb ist) was die Situation nicht besser macht. Man bekommt ihn als Gast nicht unter Kontrolle. Er spring (ist dann so groß und schwer wie ein Mann) und beißt mit seinen spitzen Zähnen. Zwar “nur zum Spielen” (so Schein es zumind.) aber es tut trotzdem weh. Und wenn er einmal im Spielmodus ist, hört er nicht mehr auf und wird immer wilder, bis einer der Belegschaft eingreift.
Das Tauchen war sehr gut bis katastrophal. Es kommt def. auf den Guide an, den man sich aber nicht aussuchen darf.
Die Ausrüstung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und wir hatten bei einem Tauchgang gleich 2 kaputte BCDs. Die Antwort vom junjor Chef… “wir haben 28 Jahre Erfahrung, wir wissen, was wir tun, du musst uns vertrauen”. Ok, aber der cut im BCD war trotzdem da und hat nicht mal 2 sek. die Luft gehalten. Beide BCDs wurden dann getauscht. Die Tauchgänge waren dann auch wirklich gut. Danke nochmal an Berto. ?? Du hast das klasse gemacht.
Mit Mark zu tauchen war eher ein Abenteuer. Beim ersten Mal ist er so schnell weggeschwommen, daß die gesamte Gruppe nicht hinterher gekommen ist. Seine Aussage dazu: “ich habe immer eure Blasen gesehen”. Ja ok, aber wenn was passiert und man Hilfe braucht, bringen Blasen einen nicht unbedingt weiter?!
Beim 2. Tauchtag hatte er dann (wie er selbst stolz berichtet hat) einen 2- minütigen Blackout und ist regungslos im Wasser getrieben. Okay, das kann mal passieren (auch wenn ich nicht weiß wie) aber dann vom senior und junior Chef zu hören, wir dürften uns nicht aussuchen, mit wem wir tauchen wollen und sie würden die Entscheidungen treffen, ist nicht kundenorientiert. Er bringt damit nicht nur sich selbst in Gefahr.
Wenn man was zu Essen haben möchte auf dem Boot, muss man dafür bezahlen. Und es vorher im Restaurant bestellen. Auch wenn ein Sandwich als Backup mitgegeben wird und es sonst keiner isst und es weggeschmissen werden würde, muss man zahlen!!
Auch gab es sehr oft stunk unter der Tauchbelegschaft. Die Philipinos wurden immer runtergeputzt, wenn vermeintlich kein Gast in der Nähe war. Was auf einem Boot schlecht geht.
Das war keine gute Stimmung auf dem Boot.
Das Boot an sich war richtig schön, geräumig, komfortabel und gemütlich.
Wir sind dann halt kurzerhand mit “Peters Dive Center” tauchen gegangen, was das komplette Gegenteil von Southern Leyte Divers war. Die sind super organisiert, strukturiert, man kann wünsche und Anregungen geben und es gibt Wasser und Snacks in Hülle und Fülle an Board.
Lange Rede, kurzer Sinn. Es fühlt sich so an, dass die Chefs nichts mehr ins Resort und die Tauchbasis investieren und es nur noch machen, weil es da ist. Die Liebe und das Feuer zum Betreiben fehlt oder ist verschwunden. Vielleicht war es mal ein lebendiger Ort, wo an Geschichten und Erlebnisse teilen konnte. Jetzt ist es eher traurig dort. – via

Fantastic! Can’t say enough great things about the SL team. We were 6 people sleeping in 2 rooms. SUPER clean, airco + ceiling fan, comfortable bedding. Food was great – good mix on euro and local. Diving was outstanding. Well organised and experienced guides – thank you Loni and Berto! New boat. Will gladly return. – via

-keine Möglichkeit Trinkfalschen aufzufüllen (hatte ausnahmslos jede Unterkunft in den Philippinen in der wir waren außer diese)
-Strand vor dem Resort ist wirklich nichts besonderes und auf den Bildern sehr vorteilhaft fotografiert
-Wasser war entweder kochend heiß oder Eiskalt, das muss für den Preis dann schon funktionieren
-unflexibel (kompletter Preis muss im Voraus gezahlt werden und keine Änderung mehr möglich – zumindest bei uns)

Really enjoyed meeting Gunter and his wife. The resort has beautiful views and the food excellent (very good for vegetarians). My cottage mattress was a bit basic. There’s no wi-fi – I didn’t find this a huge issue. Get a Smart SIM card at the airport with data and it’s easy enough to stay in touch. The dive ops are well run. I went at the end of September and did four shores dives in Sogod Bay. If you want to see Whale Sharks or go to the more exotic locations like Limasawa you’ve GOT to go later. I was the only diver in the three resorts in the area – absolutely no chance of a boat ride out that far with only one passenger. – via

En primer lugar la atención deja que desear. Quisimos alquilar un moto y nos pidieron el doble que en resto de islas. El wifi no funcionaba ( o no me lo querían dar) el buceo carísimo y la comida ( hamburguesas) pequeñas y sin sabor. Para costar 25 euros la noche tiene que tener agua para poder tirar de la cadena. En definitiva lo único positivo el pueblo de Padre Burgos, muy tranquilo y la gente muy amable y zona increíble para bucear. – via

Worst stay ever, no WiFi, in the shower there is only cold water or boiling, I love hot water but it was boiling. The toilet wasn’t working half of the times and we had to use the trash bin to take water and throw it. Also you might find sometimes that there is no water in the bathroom. You are in the middle of nowhere and they aren’t helpful. Anyway the area is beautiful for scuba diving. – via
