Spent a long weekend diving with West End Divers. We had an experienced group and were thrilled with our experience. For starters, the team is extremely nice. Always a better time when you’re diving with people who are kind. Second, they communicated excellently and allowed us to participate in scheduled dives, as well as taking us to some sites we wanted to dive. Finally, their service was excellent. She spent an afternoon troubleshooting, even going as far as contacting the manufacturer to ask about parts. Great communication and reasonable prices. Condescending front desk staff with poor customer service skills. The first scuba set up had an audible leak, the 2nd set up had a missing bite piece which made keeping the regulator in my mouth difficult. The boat captain and dive crew were more professional.
In my 54 dives, this is the 2nd out of 2 worst dive shops, across 4 countries, i have visited. Overall I would not return or recommend this dive shop. – via google

Great if you want to get ripped off.

The 3 dives I did with West End Divers were some of my most unpleasant dive experiences I’ve ever had in my 25 years of diving (~300 dives). The dive operator BARELY leaves the habor to take you on a ‘boat dive.’ Luckily, the coral looked fantastic but there was no fish life. The dive master went nuts underwater over spotting a small eel— cause that’s the level of fauna you should aspire to see when you barely clear the harbor.

The divemasters/instructors will also bully you into carrying next to no weight underwater. Apparently, if you request weight, you were taught “incorrectly” and “your instructors should have their credentials revoked.” Last I checked, most of us dive recreationally and we do so with weight to enjoy the entire dive, including the last half of the dive when our tanks get lighter. Bullying customers into not using weight is not only poor form, it’s unsafe.

The dive masters/instructors need remedial training on how to give feedback and how to provide instruction. I dont recommend taking any classes/dives with these amateurs. – via google

My husband and I and two other couples came to dive for a week and were welcomed with open arms. Alex was a phenomenal instructor and helped two out of the three couples with no experience at all become extremely confident in the water and we were able to get our certification and end the week with almost twenty dives under our belt. We felt safe, cared for, important, and knew we were in great hands with Courtney running the show. We will definitely return with more friends who want to learn to dive.

Amazing experience! We got open water certified here and went on 20 dives with them. The dive masters are friendly and we connected very well. Alex was the best dive master. We felt safe and calm.
