Great place to stay for a scuba weekend. Rooms are super clean and staff are very helpful. Love the location of this place, very conveniently located at the heart of “downtown Utila”. The hotel is part of the diving school which adds to its convenience. Added bonus that the restaurant next door serves really yummy food. – via

I was lucky enough to go through my Advanced and Divemaster certifications with Bay Islands College of Diving(BICD) in Utila. BICD made me feel safe, confident in my abilities, and allowed me to finish my divemaster in a manner that never felt rushed, while accommodating me throughout the entire month if ever I was sick or my ears needed a dry day. BICD instructors teach and lead by the book, never cutting corners making sure safety is always the first priority. This is a reputable, top-notch dive school where all instructors are extremely knowledgable, talented, professional and kind people. Highly highly recommend diving with these guys. There are a LOT of dive schools in Utila, but Bay Islands is the best by far.

I dived with BICD nearly every day for over a month. They are the most professional, conversation minded, and customer oriented dive shop on the island. Fast, spacious boats, professional staff, and a beautiful dock, diving here is definitely worth every penny. I made so many friends for life during my stay and I can’t wait to come back and see them soon! – via

Went here for a few fun dives and had a blast. Shout out to Marcos, Sam, Connor, and Joseph for providing a great experience. Very nice boat and equipment, and the captain, bootsie, was an expert, and helped us track down and swim with dolphins. Last note, the front desk was also very helpful and friendly. The lady at the front desk went out of her way to help us. She was by far the most friendly and helpful out of any of the school we visited. My two instructors Joseph and Marcus were both professional and enthusiastic! All the diving equipment was in excellent condition. To top it all off, the dive sites we visited were incredible. I’d highly recommend doing a night dive. Hands down the best diving experience I’ve had to date! – via
