Great diving but the accommodations are really lacking. You get to stay in the dorms for free during your course, thats nice but there is only one working toilet. The others don’t flush and of course the new people don’t know that and go use the toilets.. The kitchen is in rough condition, there are no cups and everything is really dirty.
The sheets in my dorm were also dirty.
The food is really expensive but the worst thing in my opinion is that they don’t offer free drinking water. You have to pay to refill your bottle. Come on!
The diving is excellent and the instructors are really knowledgeable and kind.

If your your adventurous, looking for a bit of more laid back diving school with great community, restaurant, beach, and bar this place is for you!
Did 9 dives and my advanced open water course with these guys! Everything was on point! Amazing place, school and the people.

Most of the people are doing their DM so do not expect too personalized dives tho. The dives are made mostly to the sites for people to dives according to their course requirements, so there are going to be a lot of people in the same bost doing their open water/advanced, and rescue courses!
There are different accomodation option to chose from, hostel dorms are ok and come for free with a course, privates are 20-30$ and then there is more luxury option available.
Food and the beach is perfect, they have 2 boats and a great Captain! ?????? – via

1. The diving is great. The instructors and diving staff are even better! Shout out to Ashley and Chris. Highly recommend them as instructors. And Dr. Gil was an excellent dive master for my fun dives and is really good at spotting things!!
2. As far as accommodation goes, beware lol. The bathrooms are barely usable. 0 counter space/ hooks and the one (of two) toilets didn’t work. Showers are nasty. The bathrooms by the kitchen are slightly better. The rooms are small but fine and clean. No lockers, only two outlets for 4 people.
The kitchen was not usable. Pans can’t even lie flat on the stove. No utensils. One knife. No matches to light the stove. No bowls.
3. Administrative communication could have been better throughout my whole stay.
4. Trudy’s (restaurant) is okay. Common areas are good. And the beach area and volleyball court are great!
5. I recommend eating at mama Rosa’s. Cheapest and best food on the island. The groceries are very expensive and you won’t want to cook in the kitchen. – via

Great location, the staff were super nice especially Lorenzo and Peter, great diving. Only complaints were the kitchen was not up to scratch only a dirty stove top and 1 fridge. Not enough space to fit more then 2 people in there. The bar tried to charge us for matches to light it and there was no cutlery or cooking utensils. The resterant food wasn’t great. Otherwise really good experience at underwater vision ???? – via

One of the best Diveshops in Utila, it is perfectly located in the bay with a pier and waterfront beach with seats and beds to stay confortably in the sun. There are rooms available for students and fundivers. The boat is very confortable and the staff is well prepared and knowledgeable. There is a very nice restaurant in the first floor, opened to the public in general. The best point to watch the sunset! – via

We had the most amazing 3days completing Open water Padi with Cynthia and Rena.
They were so thorough and patient with all of us and despite there being 11 of us in our group we always felt safe and well supervised by trainees Sarah and Fanny.
Our free fun dives on the final day around different locations on the reef was a brilliant way to finish off our experience and instill all the skills we had learnt. – via

Underwater Vision was easily the highlight of my month long trip across Central America! Upon arriving here I instantly felt like I was at home everyone was so friendly. I loved staying in the dorms there, we did activities every night and I met the most amazing people. I did my Advanced open water certification with Cynthia and she was both knowledgeable and fun! I always felt safe during each dive, Cynthia made me feel very supported both in and out of the water and she was able to answer every question I had! I have been recommending this place to everyone I’ve met during my travels since staying here. 10/10 place, Trudys was amazing for food and drinks, all around an incredible spot to stay and dive! – via

I am incredibly pleased to recommend Underwater Vision after the care they took to help me get back in the water after a break from diving. One of my favourite places in Utila. The staff are friendly the food is great. Great music and brilliant location to chill and drink. Being honest rooms are small, wifi is a bit poor and there are a lot of flies but that doesn’t take away from how amazing this place is – via

This place was a total treat! Felt incredibly welcome by all the Staff, you can tell is a family business.
We stayed in a private room with A/C, huge shout out to the cleaning Staff!! The food a Trudy’s (the bar) was amazing, and there is always something fun to do (Karaoke, trivia, etc.)
For the diving part, we had the best night dive experienced we ever had, gear was in very good shape. Thank you captain Hoover!!!!

Tony has been one of the best divers/instructors I have ever worked with. He has so much knowledge about all things diving you won’t be disappointed. I could not recommend him more highly. He has been extremely flexible with my schedule, my dive experience and getting my boyfriend dive certified. Being American sometimes it is hard to understand him haha but I would honestly love the chance to dive with him and Grey Nurse Charters again. – via
