It was a great trip. Everything went well. The tour with the friendly guides was fun. The river and its surroundings are very beautiful and there are some rapids through which you can navigate safely. The food was good and the pickup service was very nice.
However, it was too crowded for us, especially at the meeting point/eating location. We tend to like more private or smaller group events. -via

Among the various activities I experienced, including flyboarding, parasailing, and jet skiing during my vacation in Bali, Indonesia, I have to say this particular one stood out as my favorite. The sheer enjoyment and extended duration of the activity made it more worthwhile compared to the others.
Our journey began as a small pickup truck transported a group of eight of us several miles from the station to the upstream starting point. From there, we descended approximately 450 steps of an aged concrete stairway, slightly covered with green mold, built over rugged cliffs. Although most steps were manageable, some showed signs of partial damage and had overgrown bushes blocking them, adding a touch of adventure as we reached the inflatable rafts waiting for us at the bottom.
In April, Bali’s weather was scorching, with temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Fahrenheit and humidity around 90%, contributing to an intense heat index. Navigating the stairway, combined with the heat and humidity, could pose challenges for individuals with certain physical or health concerns. It’s worth noting that although the excursion company did ask if anybody was over 65 years of age and/or had any health issues at the station before the excursion, but they never really verified or enforced it.
Once at the river’s base, the remainder of the excursion was an absolute delight. Navigating the wild, rocky river, our raft spun around, bounced up and down against the rocks, providing an exhilarating and unpredictable ride. Water fights ensued with other rafts in close proximity, accompanied by laughter and screams throughout. Participants gleefully attacked each other with water using hands and paddles.
Adding to the positive experience, our young Indonesian tour guide demonstrated exceptional niceness, helpfulness, and patience. He recommended several stops for capturing beautiful photos, some included standing in the waist-deep river under the waterfalls. We also enjoyed the refreshing break very much with freshly chopped coconut juice along the river.
Overall, despite the minor initial challenges, the rafting adventure turned out to be a super thrilling and memorable experience on the Bali vacation. – via
