Cool and collected pilot Mutsa Mukono of Skydive Tandem Company – Victoria Falls dropped me into the sky for my first skydive ever! I was on assignment for Getaway Magazine, SA’s number 1 travel magazine, and I felt completely safe with STC’s tandem instructor, charming Ofer Cohen. Ralph Tatham makes sure everything runs smoothly and professionally, with the utmost importance placed on safety – I was thoroughly impressed with STC’s operation. The airstrip is beautifully kept, and in a wonderful location. What a fantastic experience – don’t hesitate, you must do it! – via

These guys took great care of me and my fiance for our first jumps. Answered any and all questions in a laid back and fun manner.
In the sky they made sure we understood the instructions prior to leaving the plane and what to do after clearing it.
I ponied up for the video/picture package and I can say I’m very satisfied with the investment.
Thanks to everyone at STC, glad I could help give something back with the on site proposal.
Be safe,
Chris & Jules from Canada – via

– via

Wow … what an experience!!! Boy do they ever sell happiness which happens to be their motto. I have to refrain from using as many exclamation points as I genuinely want to.
If you are crossing over from Zambia be careful as I ran into some issues with my transport pick up. I had crossed into Zimbabwe earlier in the day to go to the falls and hang out with my friends. Later we split and I walked over to the borders (3 min walk) and waited for my transport (arranged by the Sky dive place). After waiting for nearly 40 mins a driver who was also parked there for ages approaches me to ask if I was going to sky dive. He was under the impression that someone was to ‘hand me over’ to him from the border. Not sure what that means. And he was only looking in one direction (the exit of Zambia border). Other issue is that this is a hired company so there was no signage or indication on the vehicle that it was for skydiving. However, it did have the transport company’s name which I now forget. Just a piece of advice for the skydive company if you could notify clients to look out for a specific transport company name in case the parties miss each other.
After being picked up, I was a bit upset waiting in the heat, worrying and now being extremely nervous about my first jump. HOWEVER, that all changed once I got to the location and met the wonderful people who operate it. Chris came to receive me. I never felt rushed and they made the entire experience chill, fun but professional because lets be honest no one wants to die.
I cannot say enough about these guy. Sure, its a bit pricey but lets be honest you are diving near one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. It was my birthday so they offered me a bit of a discount on the video (after I begged LOL) but don’t expect that this as I think they felt bad for me.
My jump happened to be with a kid from my city where I live back in Toronto. How wild is that. It was meant to be. So there we were 2 Torontonians strapped on to 2 Russian doing our first jump AND it was for both our birthdays. The tandem guys are great. Didn’t’ speak much English but that didn’t stop them from making it entire experience amazing.
Heads up – enjoy the view on the fly up as you won’t really get to enjoy it during the drop as much since it goes by fast. I get severe motion sickness so it was a mistake not to take a pill but the pilot was incredibly steady and experienced (and good looking =P) which helped easy my tummy.
It was such an incredible rush. I wish it could last longer or I could do it over and over again. Thank you Chris and everyone else who made my 34th birthday one to remember. – via

Thank you for these wonderful moments! My dream came true and Slawa made it unforgettable for me. Falling out of the sky over the Zambezi and Victoria Falls – what else can you ask for in life!! From the first moment I felt safe and sound and therefore could enjoy every second of my adventure. Thanks again to the whole team! – via
