Amazing staff and truly the experience of a lifetime! Everyone from the driver Richard, to the front desk staff, to Kevin who i jumped with made this so fun and helped calm any pre-jump nerves. Because my first jump got cancelled because if high winds, I appreciated that Richard contacted me the following day to let me know we were good to go, because I only had two days in Byron Bay (I was visiting from Canada). I also became friends with the others in my group there for the jump. Overall incredible experience. Thank you to all the amazing staff who helped me tick another big dream off the bucket list! My sons 18th birthday was to jump out of a plane. We live out west and his grandma lives in Kingscliff.
We traveled 8hrs to visit her for his birthday and for this jump which was organized for over 4 months. We where booked for 9am
The day before we get a call to push us back to 10am expecting delays. On the day of the jump we get a text to come in early asap. So all good we get there as soon as we could 9.50am
He came with his girlfriend. , myself, his dad and 80yr old grandma to watch.
But the weather turned bad. We understand safety is first. And then he could not jump. So we where told to wait if the weather changed we waited for about 40 minutes . But it was so hot for her (grandma) we decided it best to go. We really appreciate there safety rules and regulations . But 1 of the staff was so RUDE when we said we had to leave. As we did have a long drive. And grandma was Not coping in the heat. This one staff member said
She said “you just got here”.this decision was not made lightly. Waiting over 2hrs My mother is 80 and sitting around we just could not do that. we had a long drive to get home and all we wanted was a refund or a credit. She sat there face screwed up shaking her head with anger.
She was rude the other ladies where lovely. But if this girl represents this company I would be ashamed. As everyone else was wonderful. – via google

Terrible customer service provided through the phone.
Had a booking for today and was calling them for 2 days to check about the weather situation.
Didn’t receive any call or message and I called them again and the lady on the phone was so rude. Let me talking by myself and hang out the phone call.
Then I called again and Renee was super nice but after the experience with the lady I won’t be jumping with you anymore.
I got the credits but I will be asking for a refund and doing it with other company more professional and friendly. – via google

I love skydiving, and the actual jump was super stunning. But everything else was not. The location is questionable, with toilets in trailers and a warehouse that reeks of BO. Which, it’s Byron Bay, I can look past that aspect. BUT the ‘300’ photos that cost a CRAZY $130 to purchase are basically of nothing. Genuinely got 304 photos and I was in maybe 50 of them, with maybe 20 of them being semi ‘decent’ and the others being very random or weird. I get that it’s a skydive and the photos aren’t pro, but charge the price accordingly, that’s daylight robbery. Oh and as for the timing, make sure you have the ENTIRE day free because I don’t think they have a clock. Our jump was scheduled for 7:30 with a finish time of 8am. We sat in the BLAZING sun with no updates, no communication, nothing. We finally jumped at 10am, significantly later than our booked time which was really frustrating. The wait WAS NOT weather orientated as other jumps were going. It just seemed like time was an illusion and didn’t exist in this bubble of society. Overall a bit disappointing as these factors did dilute the enthusiasm of the morning! Not to mention we were absolutely starving as we were meant to head to breakfast at 8! Have heard the Sunshine Coast team are significantly better so I know where jump #8 will be! – via google

As this was my second time skydiving I had something to compare this experience to.

The premises upon arrival look very rundown and poorly maintained. It doesn’t give you a sense of safety.

The bathrooms stank of urine and lacked cleanliness.

The crew on ground are clearly all mates. They lacked professionalism and behaved in a very nonchalant manner.

My skydiving instructor was great. Very clear in his communication and comfortable to be around.
However he was under the impression that I hadn’t paid for video or photos so although he still took them, (they do this regardless) I felt that he didn’t ‘try’ because he thought I wasn’t purchasing the package. I was very disappointed with my video. It wasn’t worth the money.

My first skydive was in St Kilda Melbourne and it was a 5 star experience from start to finish. It’s a bit of a shame that skydive Australia do not maintain consistency across the different locations. – via google
