Skydive Chicago has been setting the standard for skydiving excellence for 20 years and is just getting started. Located just off Interstate 80 in Ottawa, IL, SDC is a 220 acre private playground for adventure seekers equipped with camping space, cabin rentals, RV hook-ups, Eat Up Deli, free WiFi, swimming, disc golf, volleyball and some of the most world-class skydiving amenities available. It’s a all in one Skydive resort! From start to finish this was one of the best days ever. We came in with a group of six. It was for my dad‘s bucket list. He’s turning 83 on Halloween I jumped my brother jumped, my nephew jumped. My son-in-law jumped, and our nieces husband jumped all had an amazing experience. Shout out to Ginger, she was awesome. In the beginning I said this is a one and done but after I did it, I might change my mind and if I do, I’ll be back. Thank you so much. – via

I came here in a group of 5. All of our first times ever. We went TWICE in one day.
My tandem instructor was Ryan Reb, absolute champion!!! If you are coming here I highly recommend jumping with Ryan. This guy was a huge professional, knew how to explain everything, got me knowledgeable about all the hand signals. by my second jump I was getting everything down! They have a deal for $199 if you purchase your 2nd ticket within 1 week and you go within a year. I highly recommend you do this, if you went once and liked it, the second time is WAY BETTER.
I got the pro video package so I was able to have a videographer out there with me, I got Baxter (I thought his name was Bastian so I kept calling him that, sorry Baxter.) Baxter is awesome, made me feel like a true VIP throughout the whole experience and working with Baxter and Ryan man it was a fantastic time.
great vibes from everyone working, I watched as the instructors would walk out one by one calling our names, they were super friendly and really got you calm and excited towards jumping out of that plane!!

I purchased 2 tickets for my boyfriend as a gift and an experience for both of us as neither of us have been skydiving. And let me just say.. wow! Best activity gift I think I have ever bought. It was around $550 for 2 people, I passed on the media package but I will definitely budget for it next time. We went at 1 PM on a Monday and only waited about 30 mins before we started gearing up. If you are going on the weekends, be prepared to wait a few hours because they try to get everyone up there in bigger groups, probably to minimize how many trips the pilot makes. The woman at the front desk was so helpful and gave us a really realistic timeline of when things would get started.
We watched a short instructional video beforehand and the instructors went over the process about 3 more times before we got in the plane. They triple checked all the gear, made sure we felt safe, and hyped us up as we got up there. The jump was INCREDIBLE! I was excited but very anxious right before we jumped, and after I stopped screaming bloody murder during the free fall, I was able to relax and enjoy floating around and taking in all the views. My TI Sylvio was awesome – great sense of humor and made me feel very comfortable throughout the whole process. The landing was smooth, and we were on our way home about 15 mins after we landed. What an amazing experience. I can’t wait to do it again!! – via

This is the second time this week I jumped!! Ginger jumped with me this time!! I learned more about jumping and being a licensed skydiver! The second just was more enjoyable than the first since I know what was going to happen! Sign up for second jump deal! It is totally worth it!!

The place is pretty clean, the planes are nice, the staff is wonderful, the wait was short and everything was well-organized.
However, the goggles they provide suck. I’ve been skydiving before without an issue, but today, I spent the whole free fall concerned my contact was going to pop out from all the wind coming in from the right side.
I’m not sure if trying them on prior to already being in the air would have even helped, but it definitely downgraded my experience. I will say that my tandem person made up for it by doing some cool things after the free fall that I didn’t experience the first time I went skydiving (elsewhere, years ago).
My daughter also went and had a bad experience with her goggles. It was her first jump and I was hoping she would feel so “in the moment” as I did during my first jump, but the goggles being dug into her face prevented that. It was so bad that the videographer had to point it out to her tandem person, and all her photos are of her squinting in pain, or having her tandem person’s hands on her goggles trying to fix them. It was so bad, she still had red marks under her eyes when she went to work five hours later.
We both want to go skydiving again, and they offered a discount if we sign up again in a week. But I would rather pay a little more for a chance we’ll get better goggles elsewhere. – via

One of my most fav experiences that I’ll never forget!!!! My kids will one day brag to their friends that their mom is the coolest!!! Lol To be honest, I was never scared to jump, I was so excited!!!! Grant, my tandem instructor, was very patient with me. He made sure I understood everything that he said for our dive to be safe, fun and memorable! He even let me fly the parachute! Ahhhhh it felt more like flying than falling! Anthony, my videographer took nice vids and photos too. I hope their boss pay them well or give them a raise for doing a great job and being a badass at the same time! I’ll do this again, next year!!!!! I can’t wait!!!! – via
