Beautiful park, lots of nature, perfect for walking, swimming in the fresh and clean waters of the river and sea of Miami, you find fauna and flora, many friendly people, there is space to have barbecues, barbecues, and spend a good time with family and friends . There is good space to park vehicles as well. There are bridges from where you can see the yachts, jet skis, among others. I want to return to that place on vacation. – via

Love this park. Not really made for hiking but there are a few trails. Good place for bike trails and water activities. We typically rent a kayak and go out to the Bay area or beach area. There is also an island that is not too far off that has some wild racoons. I call them wild but they basically walk right up to humans and beg for food. They are super cute. Only drawback is that the island is often full of boaters blaring terrible music like they own the island. Also once you get out of the park area proper and into the bay there is a fairly strong current so be prepared to paddle. – via

Oleta River State Park is an absolute gem! The bike trails are fantastic and provide a truly unique experience. The park is well-maintained and offers a variety of terrains to explore, including scenic coastal paths and challenging off-road routes. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are clean and well-kept. Whether you’re a seasoned biker or just looking to enjoy a leisurely ride, Oleta River State Park is a must-visit destination. Highly recommend! – via

Huge, beautiful and very well maintained state park. There’s activities for everyone: kayak rental, bike rental, observatory, fishing pier, beach area, picnic and BBQ areas everywhere, trash can and recycle bins all around the park in all areas. There’s different size pavilions, I think up to 30 people can easily have a nice outdoor celebration with a beautiful view and the convenience of having the parking lot and the restrooms just a little walk away. Hiking trails, bike trails, camping area (upon reservations)… the list goes on and on. No DOGS allowed, and Parking for 1 vehicle (6-8 people) is $6 all day.
The park is beautiful and hopefully this review encourage others to visit and promote our state parks. No loud speakers and of course no littering.
Florida is so rich in nature and is everywhere, keep your local and state parks clean, support and thank the park rangers of your community in any way you can. – via
