We found Ethos and Justin as we were walking along the Laguna coves walkway. He had just wrapped up a kayak tour and was loading his truck. Look for it in and around Laguna. My fiancé and I have done a ton of fresh water paddle boarding but never along the Laguna shores. Justin was the perfect instructor and tour guide to make our 2 hour experience incredible. Oh, did I mention we ran into Harbor seals and a group of dolphins. More than a dozen which we heard was very unusual. Next time you are in Laguna and see people paddle boarding along the coast, take a chance (even if it’s your first time) and call Justin at Ethos. It will be a great day on the water I promise. – via

My best friend purchased a lesson for my Christmas present because I haven’t surfed in 5 years and have been missing it. I was anxious about not being good and embarrassing myself. All of that went away when I met Justin for my lesson. He was ready for me and welcomed me and made me feel so comfortable. He provided a board and wetsuit and everything was perfect. We did some practice on land and he gave excellent advice and encouragement. It was finally time to go in the water and I was so nervous. He helped me get positioned properly on my board and told me when to start paddling and even gave me a push to help me along. In between sets we had great conversation and a few laughs and after everything was over he even helped my friend and I with a lunch recommendation and it was amazing. I can’t wait to have my friends come next time and would highly recommend him for anyone who is interested in someone professional, fun, knowledgeable and overall great vibes. Thank you Justin! – via

Justin with Laguna Ethos was a great surf instructor and really taught me some new/helpful stuff! I’ve had quite a few lessons with others and I really appreciated how he met me where my skill level was at, and helped me try to improve from there. He took the time to explain all sorts of important things and answered the questions I had. He’s a really nice guy too so I felt like it wasn’t just a business transaction, but like I was out surfing with a friend. 🙂 Thanks to Laguna Ethos, and I hope to be back next year! – via
