Top notch dive crew! Brad, Emron and Capt. Jason ran an incredible dive, despite some choppy conditions. Great safety, instruction, organization, humor and food and beverages… first eve dive was GREAT , but the night dive with the mantas was truly one-of-a-kind unique and SO cool. Nine showed up and shared 40+ minutes with us. Thanks to Kona Diving for an unforgettable diving experience— very well worth it?? – via

So happy my partner and I went with Kona Diving company on a recent trip to Big Island. We did the refresher course and it was a great way to get re-familiar with diving. We had Cody as our instructor and he was the best – friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and super enthusiastic. Loved the focus on marine life pre/post each dive. Would absolutely book again next time we’re back on Big Island! – via

Kona Diving Company is terrific company exuding a kind and enthusiastic regard for their clients. I am a 64 year-old woman who decided to return to scuba after a 40-year absence. I was a bit intimidated about the changes in equipment and procedures. Kerstin in the office guided me through my choices of dives, set me up with an initial 1:1 boat dive after completing a PADI ReActivate pool session with Jack’s Diving Locker-another very good experience. I did three-two tank boat dives with KDC. The crew was delightful, professional, and enthusiastic. My first dive was with Brad. His kindness and encouragement allowed me to realize that I remembered more than I expected and fully enjoy what might have been a nerve-wracking experience. Daniel and Cody were both also top-notch, attentive and fun-loving. Captain Mike runs a calm and attentive boat experience. Underwater Kona is beautiful and KDC is a personable and professional way to enjoy it. – via

Best company on the Island to do the Manta dive with! I love the staff, the crew is fun and knowledgeable. Been out with KDC about 5 time now. The night we did the Manta dive was epic. It was my daughter’s first open water dive as a certified diver and 23 Mantas showed up. I know, she is spoiled now. But the lasting memories KDC help create was worth it. Thank you KDC! – via

Did two days of diving (4 dives total) with Kona Diving Co, and I must say the experience and the crews were incredible. I have over 250 dives and this was one of the best companies I have gone out with. They were attentive to your every need, very safety focused and very informative and professional. The Manta Ray night dive was the best dive I have ever done. Hands down. We had to be rebooked due to wave conditions and they made the process seamless and were incredibly accommodating. A huge shout out to the surf shop staff, Tommy, Brad, Bruce, Jason and everyone we encountered. I will be definitely come back to dive with these guys again. – via

Our dive master Brad was extremely knowledgeable, kept us safe, and carefully explained what to expect on the dive. The manta night dive was amazing! The homemade brownies with walnuts between dives were delicious.

What an amazing diving team! My husband and I got stuck in traffic on the way over and they waited for us, and welcomed up with open arms when we arrived. Our dive master (Dani) was incredible – took time to share in-depth information about some of the fauna and flora we would see. Our group was never bigger than 5 divers per dive master and you return to the boat as you run low on air – not as your buddy or anyone else runs low so this really maximized our dive time.

After returning to the boat on a cold dive, I was handed hot chocolate and a home-made brownie and asked if I wanted to rinse off with some hot water – very special!!! Dani even took the time to send me some videos from the dive afterwards which was highly appreciated.

We saw manta rays, a hammer head shark, sea turtle, and much more. I couldn’t say more positive things about this company. We will definitely be diving with them when we return to the Big Island. – via
