What a great team at Kohala Divers! I had MEANINFUL connections and support from my first call through my training and certification. Each of 3 teachers I had was skilled and great at communicating, while they were so different in style. Kels approach taught me much more than just about SCUBA. My experiences were professional, safe, kind and demonstrated care. I can’t say enough great things about my experience with their process and team. I’m glad they’re my ‘home dive center with PADI, and I can’t wait to dive with them again. Highly recommend! – via google

Kohala really took care of us. Friendly crew, snacks, drinks, sunblock, hot showers, and larger head (bathroom) were a plus for sure. I was able to see dolphins during my dive which I have been trying to have happen for the past 16 years of my diving career! We also had dolphins and humpback playing on our surface interval. The crew helped take my gear off the boat and had a rinsing area available. Overall, an excellent dive operation. A big thank you to James Kregness for setting this trip up for me! – via google

We took the sunset whale watch cruise and it was spectacular! Of course, you never know what you’ll encounter, but todays trip was special. We had hardly left the mooring when we spotted whales not far away. Captain Ty was very professional, adept, and intuitive. He seemed to know exactly when to break away and head in another direction. There were other boats out there, but we always seemed to be in the exact right spot at the right time to see whales breaching, spouting, and some amazing tail slapping. Many were so close you felt you could almost reach out & touch them. The trip ended with a breath taking sunset. As we were heading home, the whales in the distance started jumping completely out of the water, one after another, as to say aloha and goodnight. – via google

Great experience!
Really relaxed, easy going, knowledgeable, professional team.

Great equipment.

Start to finish great experience. Equipment and rental was good and they made sure everything fit well. Captain explained the boat and plans for diving. The entire crew decided by experience where to dive as we departed. We ended up seeing dolphins on the boat and continued North so as we dove the pods swam by the entire dive! They also explain the key fish, shells, other to look for unique to each site. Safety is top level, great pace and dive masters really pay attention to their groups and who needs the most attention allowing more experienced to explore. Thank you I hope to be back! – via google

Customer service this poor deserves a review. My experience at Underwater World Scuba lasted roughly one minute. The woman at the front desk was friendly, greeted me, and directed me to a bearded man who could assist in filling my HPA paintball tank. The man first scolded me for the temperature of the cylinder. This was due to it sitting in my car seat in the sun on the way there. The cylinder reaches a higher temperature than this once the compressed air is filled, I mentioned this and it was acknowledged. I was then told my cylinder was out of date (just re-hydro tested last month, with label stating this). I was then told air fill on the 4500psi cylinder would only be 3000psi. “No problem” I say and then I am reminded that the cylinder says 4500psi. I am aware of this, I own the cylinder and understand that it can accommodate 3000 or 4500 psi. Once we painstakingly worked through this dialogue, I was quoted $10 for a 3000psi fill on a 50 cubic inch cylinder. I told him no thanks, I’d have it filled somewhere else and was literally laughed out the door by the man. Outside of this interaction, my best description of this individual is a big fish in a small pond. My interpretation based on existing reviews is that he must treat Scuba customers well and make an effort to turn away filling other cylinders with aggressive and condescending customer service rather than turn it away at the door. – via google
