Hey i went scuba diving with love diving and it was my best experience. This was my first dive and my diving coach kieth from chicago made it damn easy for me to learn. His instructions were spot on and with hardly any effort we were 8 meters down in the ocean. Lot to see under water and obviously one day will not be enough.. so will go again.. highly recommended – via

Great spot, especially for beginners!
At our time there were strong tides, so in the morning (when the wind was best onshore and the tide was low) I was able to walk far out into the lagoon to practice upwind sailing. It’s a long walk, but once you get to the water you’re in a great starting position. The rapidly rising tide does the rest.

About the team: everyone was very friendly and helpful. My kites were too small for the spot, but after good advice I was able to rent them at reasonable prices. (Between 14 and 17sqm for 15-20 knots, you need larger kites than you are used to in Europe, as Dave explained to me in detail).

Meanwhile, my girlfriend took lessons, from the first water start almost to altitude hold in 7 hours. Great lessons! Communication via radio on the helmet, but teachers are always nearby. -via

I had high hopes for my visit to this kite spot, especially given the warm and welcoming nature of the staff who truly are as nice and sweet as mentioned in previous reviews. However, the kite spot itself significantly fell short of my expectations for several reasons that future visitors should be aware of.

Firstly, the water quality is a major concern. It was disheartening to learn that a staggering 85% of liquid waste in Phuket is discharged untreated into the bay, resulting in very polluted water conditions. This issue was further compounded by the noticeable presence of plastic litter on the beach, which, alarmingly, no one seems inclined to address or clean up.

Another considerable drawback is that the bay is very shallow and the tidal range, which is about 3.5 meters, severely limits the time frame for kiting activities to just a few hours each day. For those interested in foiling, the window narrows even further. This significant restriction was something we hadn’t fully anticipated and found quite disappointing.

Additionally, the wind conditions proved to be unreliable. Despite forecasts predicting 20 knots, the reality was consistently 5 knots less. To add to the challenge, there’s a pronounced wind shadow in the southern corner of the bay.

In conclusion, while the kite school staff’s friendliness and professionalism are commendable, the kite spot itself presents several challenges that detract from the overall experience. From environmental concerns to the natural limitations imposed by the tides and wind conditions, potential visitors should consider these factors carefully when planning their activities. – via

Very experienced teachers and a well-coordinated team. For me as a beginner the conditions were great. It was easy to stand well out and the ground was sandy, which was great if you fell. The wind was good for kiting on 4 out of 7 days, although 1 day was very light, but that played into my hands. My teacher was very patient and professional. After 3 lessons lasting around 2 hours, I was already able to drive a few 100m independently. A great experience :)) – via

Highly recommend Dave and the team at Kite Zone, Dave brought 2 E-foil boards down to Kata Beach where we were staying.
The communication before we left the UK was great, and Dave kept in touch over WhatsApp, the equipment was flawless and the radio’s comms on the helmets while Nick and I bimmbled around the bay were very useful to aid our progression.
All in all a great day with a really professional company.
I couldn’t recommend Kite Zone highly enough. 5?? – via

Very, very good, friendly and helpful team!
Natalia in the office looks after you very well, with equipment, cold water or fresh tea!
Alex, Wit and the others are super friendly, helpful and always give good tips and help beginners like me with everything they need!
As a beginner, I find the conditions there very good! You can actually stand anywhere, good wind, a little light at times but perfect for learning control!
I started learning kiting there and will definitely have to come back! Thanks for 2 great days! -via

Toller Ort um die ersten Schritte im Kitesurfen zu machen. Hier wird man sofort in eine sehr familiäre Atmosphäre gezogen und kann im eigenem Tempo lernen.
