It was an amazing experience. We were diving for the first time with two 8 year old kids. The instructors were super professional, gave us a great intro, and then helped us through the dive. We felt very safe, thanks to each having their own instructor and we had an awesome time. The kids even went for a second dive. The instructors are super friendly and nice, made the whole experience extra special. We also took the underwater photography option. Kalypso is a great and beautiful location, ideal also for snorkeling with lots of sea life. Overall I would totally recommend. – via

Aufmerksam geworden sind wir auf die Kalypso Tauchschule über einen Flyer im Hotel. Und wie es der Zufall wollte war die Tauchschule den Tag darauf sogar am Hotel. Da konnte man im Pool das Tauchen mit Tauchflasche ausprobieren. Wir haben auch dann direkt einen Termin vereinbart vor Ort.

Es war das Highlight unseres Urlaubs !!!

Wir wurden am Hotel abgeholt und zur Tauchschule gefahren. Ausnahmslos alle Tauchlehrer sind super freundlich und professionell. Wir haben uns direkt willkommen gefühlt und zu keinem Zeitpunkt innerhalb des Wassers unsicher. Obwohl es auch unsere erste Taucherfahrung war. Die Tauchlehrer waren stets an unserer Seite und haben uns auf viele Meeresbewohner aufmerksam gemacht, die wir sonst so nicht gesehen hätten. Wenn man möchte, gibt es die Möglichkeit Bilder Unterwasser vom Tauchen zu erhalten. Auch eine sehr große Empfehlung! Uns hat es im Endeffekt so gut gefallen, dass wir während unseres Kreta Aufenthalts gleich noch einmal mit Kalypso tauchen waren. Die Tauchschule hat auch extrem viel Aufwand in unseren zweiten Besuch gesteckt. Uns ist vor allem aufgefallen, dass wir uns beim zweiten Besuch viel besser auf die Umgebung Unterwasser konzentrieren konnten und nicht mehr so sehr mit uns beschäftigt waren.

Yesterday, we wrote Dimi that we want to try Scuba Diving but we have no experience yet. He came to our Hotel and instruced us very well, so that today we went to the Kalypso Dive Center for our first dive in the sea. It was absolutely amazing and very well guided. We can totally recommand this experience to anybody who want to try Scuba Diving for the first time! – via

Am 26.8. haben meine Frau und ich endlich die Gelegenheit ergriffen, Tauchen im Schnupperkurs (PADI Discover Scuba Diving) kennenzulernen. Wir wurden vom ersten Moment herzlich aufgenommen und fühlten uns in allen Belangen bestens aufgehoben. Dies war vor allem bei meiner Frau entscheidend, die im Vorfeld mit einer gewissen hemmenden Vorsicht zu kämpfen hatte (Angst vor der Tiefe, dem Druckausgleich und den potenziellen Gefahren beim Tauchen). Da unsere TauchlehrerInnen aber so ausgezeichnete Arbeit geleistet haben (vielen lieben Dank an Erik L., Anaiza und Rutger) werden wir Tauchen wohl nun als neues gemeinsames Hobby angehen können. Meine Frau hatte sich von Anfang bis Ende sehr wohl gefühlt und wir sind von eurem vertrauenswürdigem Umgang und eurer Professionalität absolut begeistert. Damit habt ihr mir einen besonderen Gefallen getan, weil ich mir bis zuletzt nicht hätte vorstellen können, zusammen mit meiner Frau mit dem Tauchen beginnen zu können. Also vielen Dank für die wunderbare Erfahrung und den neuen Möglichkeiten, die ihr uns beiden eröffnet habt.

Daneben möchte ich auch noch hervorheben, wie ehrlich, transparent und flexibel wir in Hinblick auf unsere zeitlichen Rahmenbedingungen bzgl. Kursbuchung und Preisgestaltung beraten wurden. Darüber hinaus haben uns die unverbindlich angefertigten Fotos am Ende so gut gefallen, dass wir auch diese gerne erstanden haben.

Sofern es uns nochmal nach Kreta verschlägt – was ich sehr hoffe – werden wir auf alle Fälle wiederkommen. – via

Wir waren heute zu 2. Mit der Tauchschule in Kalypso. Wir hatten die Tauchschule vorher auf einem Flyer entdeckt und konnten vorab das wichtigste ganz unkompliziert über WhatsApp klären. Heute wurden wir dann pünktlich von einem Mitarbeiter der Schule an unserem Hotel in Skaleta abgeholt und nach Kalypso zu einer Bucht gebracht. Hier war auch ein Hotel wo man auch den Pool und die liegen mitbenutzen durfte, Wasser war während des gesamten Aufenthalts kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt worden.
Wir haben eine Unterweisung in unserer Sprache bekommen und wenig später hat dann der Tauchgang gestartet, für uns war es das erste Mal tauchen.
Hier gab es das 1:1 Prinzip, also hat jeder Schüler einen eigenen Lehrer bekommen der sich den ganzen Tauchgang über um jemanden gekümmert hat. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden es jederzeit wieder buchen! Außerdem bestand die Möglichkeit Bilder von Tauchgang zu kaufen, welche wir auch genutzt haben.

Great Experience!

The team was professional and very informative, my diving instructor @Geremi was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable.

The equipment was safe and in good conditions.

Diving in Kalypso was great! The visibility is fantastic and if you are lucky you can see sea horse, octopus, a lot of lion fish, barracudas are on demand and last but not least pay attention to the diverse small colourful organism they are beautiful!

You can find a nice beach bar with a good range of food and the team provides water to keep you hydrated throughout the day. – via

We have been diving with Kalypso Dive Center as Certified divers and got our own guide for our group of four divers (OWD up to Instructor). Transfer was on time at our hotel in the north of Creta and the trip was totally ok.
Good and all including welcome by the center manager. The briefings for our two dives, with different dives covered all things you need to dive with them. Including emergency procedures, very good!
Shallow entry at the jetty, calm conditions and clear water for an excellent view under water. We dove down to around 23 meters and everything was fine.
Thank you Kalypso and we will be back when we come another time to your nice island in whitesea. – via
