This is a great dive center in the upper keys. Islamorada located. I had an outstanding time today on the morning 2 tank dive expedition. I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver with over 1,200 dives under my BC. The folks at the Islamorada Dive Center are top notch in professionalism, courtesy, friendliness and just plain fun to be around. If you enjoy diving, dive with the Islamorada Dive Center. – via

Thank you to Islamorada Dive Center for such a great trip! I took a 2 tank trip to the Rocky Top reef and to Morada reef. The crew was fun and professional, the boat was comfortable, and they were able to get me out with a group at the last minute.

There are a lot of dive centers in the Keys, but the Islamorada Dive Center was the best I’ve ever gone with! – via

Had such a great week of dives with Islamorada dive center— went out on 4 shallow dive afternoons, and had a refresher pool session. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and had a great time with Doug, Devon, Claire and all others. Thank you! Will be back again soon. – via

I feel compelled to leave a glowing review for Islamorada Dive Center, something I don’t normally bother to do, because of how outstanding the whole experience was. The crew went above and beyond to make sure our dives were both safe and fun!

Doug made me feel very safe during our dives. He double checked my gear each time before entering the water and kept a watchful eye on our group the entire time. When my tank band came loose underwater, Doug was there to help in an instant. He made the whole experience stress-free!

Jack was also an excellent dive guide. He’s charismatic, funny, and great at pointing out eels and other aquatic life that I would have missed otherwise. He was also extremely attentive, checking our remaining air regularly and planning the rest of the dive accordingly.

I really appreciate everything at the IDC for making my first trip to the Keys a great one! – via

We had a wonderful experience with Islamorada Dive Shop. My daughter and I were scuba certified almost 2 years ago and haven’t been diving much at all since I was having ear issues. I explained our situation to the folks at IDS and they recommended a pool refresher and afternoon dive, both with a private instructor.
Our private instructor was Devon and he reached out to us the night before with the details. He was the perfect instructor for us. He was patient and explained things well and thoroughly. We are still very much beginners and he never made us feel uncomfortable asking basic questions.
TBH, I was using this attempt to help me decide if I should keep at diving or give it up because of my ear and buoyancy issues. Devon’s patience and calm manner helped me overcome both those issues. There’s something about his manner that helped us hear and understand his explanations of things that never quite clicked in the past. We never felt rushed and that was so important for us to gain confidence. Thank you all for a great day! – via

March 2024 = Enjoyed another great day underwater with IDC. This most recent trip had a little extra special feel. Our all Ladies morning dive crew did a fantastic job! With Jessi and the Helm and Angeline, Claire, Sonja, & Sophia taking excellent care of the divers we explored Crockers Pocket and Lemon Drop. We harvested 3 fish and photographed a nice turtle (with “hitch hiker”)! — Fantastic group of Dive professionals. We have enjoyed trips w/ IDC since 2019 All 3 members of our family have gained SCUBA Certifications and we constantly plan our next trip to Islamorada. – via

I dove with Islamorada Dive Center in March, 2024. We did four dives total with this outfit. I was impressed with the operation, very organized and made it all so easy. They were professional throughout. The boat is very nice, clean, organized, and well run. We went to four different dive spots, which were beautiful. This is a concierge type outfit, that helps you wherever they can, including if you desire, to setup your equipment or exchange tanks in between dives.

Our guide in the water was Angeline, and she was amazing. She was knowledgeable on the sea-life, the sites, and safety. I was diving with my two daughters that are less experienced, and she was really great with them, helping them learn and grow, and have a great time. As a bonus she took photos of us diving and emailed to us after the fact. If you dive with this shop, and get Angeline as your guide, you are going to have a great time. The other employees seemed great too as an aside.

I would dive again with this outfit, they did a really nice job, and we had a great time. We will be back. – via

Great dive operation going to reefs and wrecks in the Keys! I did about 10 dives with them from really rough to calm conditions, and they were fantastic throughout. They were able to split trips up to allow more advanced divers to do their own thing, while making the dives easier for beginners. I will be going back when I am back in the area! – via

Had an amazing day in the water as a new diver with Islamorada Dive Center. The waters were choppy but IDC found clear water for us to dive in with visibility over 50’ at depths of 40-55’. They’ll get all of your gear setup, double checked and answer any questions before heading out! Great captain, deck hand and best of all, dive guide who carefully lead us on a colorful, coral, fish filled, lobster and eel adventure! 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend, thanks for an amazing experience! – via

Wow. All around best experience ever. Keira was so friendly and accommodating while booking that I couldn’t wait to meet her. She was everything I expected- warm, welcoming, informative.Jessie did our pre-dive pool instruction and talked me through some fear. The crew on the boat was fantastic. I was fighting sea sickness and they were supportive and helpful. The two dives were great. They broke the group into beginners and more experienced. Jessie made me feel safe and comfortable under the water. Saw shark, sea turtles, Moray eel, grouper, sting rays, pufferfish, and a slew of fish! Just fabulous. Kudos to Jessie, Keira and the crew. We’re coming back to do dive cert here with these guys! I’d you’re thinking about it, this is your place. – via

I would highly recommend this dive shop to anyone from a beginner interested in learning how to scuba or even if you are like me and just looking to increase your certification level. The whole operation is top notch. I was truly impressed with the quality of everything from the shop to the dive boat this is a wonderful place to learn or just go diving with. I called to see about getting my deep and wreck specialization done while I was down here on vacation and the friendliness of the staff and how quickly they were able to get me started truly impressed me. The one on one instruction and training I received from Devin my instructor was absolute perfection. It was wonderful to learn and still have a great time diving during the training. If you’re looking for a dive shop anywhere in the Keys look no further, this is the place. Plus a free beer after the day of diving was one the many small touches, that set this shop above the rest. Looking forward to diving with this shop again and special thanks to my instructor Devin you did an amazing job. – via

The staff were awesome!
The receptionist was friendly and re-assured me, that my picture taking would not cause an issue with the dive masters. As it was.. I was apparently concentrating on my picture taking, that I missed the 10 ft Hammerhead shark, right behind me.
The skipper was very happy, joking around, yet serious, and supportive. He properly sized me for a wetsuit, which I had never had to use before, in any of my previous 75 dives. Unfortunately, we didn’t guess the needed weight, for the wet suit submergence. However, the dive masters came to the rescue… so to speak, and supplied me with enough weight, to help me descend.
The dive masters were top notch, and gave positive feedback, at the end of the dive. The young diver master in training, was an awesome dive buddy…Cow wa Bunga young lady!
This all made for a great crew, a great day and a wonderful dive experience. I’m just sorry I had to cancelled my dives, in the afternoon. – via

We had an amazing time with the Islamorada Dive Center crew. Kiera was super helpful with making our reservations. The shop was well organized and all the staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. Our dive instructor was Jack and he could not have done a better job. He was patient with us in learning the skills and he gave clear instructions. Unfortunately the weather and the seas did not cooperate so he had his hands full for our open water dive. Jack was professional, compassionate to the student in our party who was struggling, and he clearly had our safety as his number 1 priority. The entire staff is hard working and focused on excellent service and safe diving. I can’t wait to go back and dive with Jack and the rest of the crew again soon! – via
