Visiting a sister in Sarasota and wanted to explore diving options in the area. Worked as DM in 2003 -renewed it a year ago, but haven’t been able to get back in the water since. Greg, Bo and Leanne were amazing. Good diving philosophy and willing to let me get a tank and play in the pool (all about buoyancy!)
Can’t wait to join them on the wonderful overseas diving trips or back in Sarasota for nitrox certification & dives.
If you’re new or experienced, great group to dive with. Professional, expert and just good folks. Can’t wait to see you all again!! – via

My son Ned had a wonderful time and grew in maturity, leadership, and scuba skills while also making good friends and great memories. From all his stories when he returned home, it sounded like a very well run program. The crew worked hard to make sure everyone acclimated and built an inclusive, trusting community on board and in the water. ActionQuest had a friendly and helpful staff, great programming, wonderful experiences. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a live-aboard scuba experience for a high school child. – via

Easily the best scuba shop in Sarasota! I’ve recently been certified here with the help from my guy Scott Kerns!! Top notch Coach, best in town. If you don’t know now you do! Lindsey and Heather are also some top notch dive instructors and went above and beyond helping me out to feel confident in the water! Wonderful place, professional and kind staff. They have a wide range of equipment, bacikally everything you need for diving. I got an Open Water Diver license for my daughterwith them. Thay also have diving tours, and of course you can rent gear here. I want to specifically highlight the enthusiasm and energy of instructor Ally. Simply superb, beyond all praise. Joined Greg for a beach day dive near Venice for a shark tooth excursion. Greg was an absolutely wonderful dive guide, and FUS was a great shop with everything in order and ready to go. This was my first dive post certification last year and my partners a hundred and thirty somethingth dive and there was something new and fun for both of us. I recently had the absolute pleasure of completing my Adventure and Rescue Diver courses at Florida Underwater Sports, and I simply cannot express enough how incredible the entire experience was. From the moment I signed up to the very last dive, the team at the shop went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible.

The staff at Florida Underwater Sports are the epitome of professionalism and expertise. They are down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and extremely approachable. I never felt rushed or hesitated to ask any questions I had, as they were always eager to help and educate.

A special shoutout to Allison (Allí) for her dedication to teaching not only diving skills but also imparting her extensive knowledge of marine ecology. She made the courses fun, engaging, and tailored them to my interests and needs. Her enthusiasm for the underwater world truly inspired me and added immense value to my learning experience.

I must also commend Florida Underwater Sports for their commitment to their students. Even though the planned class size shrank to just me, they didn’t close the class or wait for more students. Would give 6 + stars if possible. I have been on a hunt for perception lenses for my mask and after going to several stores we came here and Heather was an absolute Gem. She went above and beyond with giving me options and suggestions for which mask to choose and finding an adorable and affordable mask that suited my needs. Also this shop had lenses IN STOCK and where better equipped than the other shops we went to. Other shops only had one lens or it was about a 3 week turn around. So I was looking for an instructor for a PPB course because I have always struggled immensely with it. After to having to cancel a few times on my end due to unforseen circumstances. I was finally able to get to do the course today with ally! She was great after all said and done my buoyancy improved tremendously and she was a great instructor can’t wait to do more courses with her and potentially plan some boat dives with this company in general! – via

This was my 1st charter dive in 10+ years and it was AMAZING. The water was perfect. The sun was shining. Capt CARL was awesome. Divemaster MATT was the best. What an absolutely phenomenal shop! We stopped in for new masks and snorkels on our way to the beach. Greg G helped us find just the right fit and shared an extraordinary wealth of education and knowledge – we felt supremely confident in our purchases and how to keep everything in great shape. His recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed a great day snorkeling, in large part because of his help and recommendations.
