This place is so rad i was in awe walking in.
So happy Barbados has a ZAP ⚡ seller.
Jasmin was a wonderful help and we found some great items.
Amazing selection of shirts, board shorts, and surfing/skimming equipment.
You cant leave without a skeleton sticker at least! – via

Two of us had a beginner’s 2 hour surf lesson with Dread or Dead and loved it. Matthew was a brilliant instructor – he was clear, patient and supportive. After five minutes of demo on the beach, we were out in the water. Both of us managed to stand up and ride a few waves, which surprised us! Communication to book the session was straightforward over WhatsApp and the team in the shop were lovely too. – via

Dread or dead is the place to go if you’re looking for the best surf experience on the island! Russell’s quick responsiveness and help in choosing the right formula for you, so you get the best out of your surfing is great! Additionally, his surfshop offers the greatest of material that you need for surfing or skating. You’ll meet Jasmine his partner who’s a great and friendly help to make sure you find the things you’re looking for.
The cherry on top were my surfsessions with Axe, Russell’s son. Out all the places I’ve been, I’ve never felt more comfortable and at ease in the water. Axe has a gift to give you self-confidence and courage in the water. His energy and vibe is one of a kind. In the water he’ll give you the best of feedback with each wave so you can adjust and improve in a very short time. I cannot recommend this place enough! Mahalo for making my surftrip epic!

We had a surfing lesson with Russell yesterday, daughter 17 years and Mumsie 51 years. We had never surfed before. Russell was very professional, patient and encouraging and in addition lots of fun! We had a small group, a very nice young couple with us, so we got individual instructions. Daughter will surely do this again and against all odds Mumsie also Thank you so much Russell! We have nice memories to take back to Finland. We recommend this surf school to everybody. Have a lovely year 2023 Aino and Mumsie – via
