Walt, Zac and all the other gentlemen were extremely helpful and patient in finding the right gear for us. They didn’t push you into what is the most expensive. Instead they helped you find what fit you best. If you wanted more expensive, like I did then they made sure it fit properly (which it didn’t), so I didn’t end up with the most expensive. I got what would work for me the best. Looking forward to our next visit to advance our water experience.
PS. We even brought others with us so they could get gear and had the same fantastic experience on the second visit. – via

My daughter and I went in to Divers Direct last week to get her a mask, fins, snorkel, and wetsuit (she’s getting her open water cert, I’m so excited!). We were greeted immediately by Walt. There was other staff there as well who were all very friendly. Walt took us through the store and, this is important, showed my daughter the pluses and minuses of different gear without once trying to push her into the most expensive item. He explained that her gear preferences would probably change a bit as she got diving experience and that she just wanted good quality gear that would last. Understand, I have hundreds of dives in my log but I purposely wanted to not force my daughter into decisions that I would make, just reinforce principles and safety concerns. Walt was 100% on board with this strategy. My daughter always felt like she was the one driving this bus and she got what was comfortable for HER. Walt said it perfectly: you come into a store like this for wisdom from people who have tried many items and they know what works and doesn’t work. That’s something you won’t really get from online shopping. I appreciated that. Anyway, kudos to Divers Direct for valuing the hands on shopping experience. My daughter is very happy and excited for future diving adventures. Thanks Walt! – via

Every staff member goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. I’ve been to this location 3 times and they have everything!!! It was nice to step in the second time and Terry greeted me by name I forget names all the time !! Terry and Alex were very knowledgeable and helpful. The store is like an Orlando Theme park,Toy store or an amazing candy shop. – via

Emmanuel was a great instructor. He was very thorough with his instructions. He took the time to make sure I understood. He made sure I worked on my weight and buoyancy. He helped me with my SSI online log book. Over all it was a great experience. Thank you again for spending the time with me so I feel confident with my diving. – via

Big shout out to Diver Direct!

We ordered our stuff as we’re going to Hawaii and was worried that we had to get it all tested after being assembled…NOPE! The team there had assembled our regulator/octo and first stage kits and were tested and ready to use.

With a hand written letter stating it’s all been tested.
Everything was of quality and exactly what we wanted and needed.

Now we can dive right in (all pun intended!) and know our stuffs been checked.

My mom and I went into the store looking to buy a full set of diving equipment. Right off the bat we were greeted by Rachael, the store’s general manager. From the start on, this was an amazing experience. Rachel is AMAZING! Hands down! She is so knowledgeable about diving, super easy and fun to talk to and helped us out for over an hr. She gave us suggestions, answered all our questions, gave us multiple options (never pushing for a more expensive one). She stayed with us the whole time and helped my mom trying numerous types of equipment. We were very lucky that Rachel was there to help us out! The store itself also is great. It is big and has a lot of options for all the things you can think of. I am very pleased with the experience and would very much recommend. Thanks Rachel! – via

I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to Rachael the store manager in Orlando. She went above and beyond to take care of my needs. I was headed from Utah to the Bahamas to be on the Aqua Cat for a week and FedEx decided not to Overnight my order. Instead they sent it regular shipping. This was out of the control of Divers Direct. So Rachael talked with the Owner of Divers Direct and although they don’t ship to the Bahamas they did this once just for me. Rachael was in constant contact with me via email and phone letting me know what was happening. My order got hung up in Customs in the Bahamas and I wasn’t able to receive it before getting on the Dive boat for a week but it wasn’t without Rachael and the Owner of Divers Direct giving it a very valiant effort to get my order to me asap. They earned my business and loyalty, my family’s, and all the folks I dove with for the efforts and accommodations they made. Divers Direct truly understands the value of customer service. – via

Andrew was super patient with me choosing a mask and telling me about the different features. Walt was so amazing, really made me feel better about my dive coming up and more comfortable with everything and was also patient and willing to listen toeverything I had to say.
