Sold me a defective BCD and did not service my regulator properly. Their bad service caused my regulator to whistle and they bent an adjustment knob. – via

My fiancé and I just did out Open water certification here and we had such a wonderful time. Mike was our instructor and we are so proud to have learned from such an amazing teacher. Mike really takes care of his students and he wants to see you succeed. He will take his time and make sure you are comfortable and knowledgeable enough to be safe and have a blast. The entire staff really made this such a fun and easy experience. Brent who is the shop owner is extremely helpful and kind. Dive Masters Aron and Brian were with us as well and they were a great support and also great teachers and super cool people. We really feel like we found a family at this shop and are so happy to see where this new experience will take us ! Dean’s definitely got some new regulars here ?? – via

I am writing this review because I am sorely disappointed in my local dive shops. I first went to Dean’s when I started at FGCU. I have never regretted it. I bought all of my gear and all of my classes at Dean’s. Brent was extremely helpful, and was always there to help. I went in to buy tanks but was a bit indecisive. I came back soon, but they had already been sold. While I was talking with Brent about the tanks, he stopped, picked up the phone, called his supplier, and ordered more right then and there and told me the day to come back and get them. My local dive shop has been quite frankly awful. Everything I’ve needed, Brent has done right then and there and has never made me wait long. My local dive shop just told me it’d be a week for a visual inspection and a fill…my very impromptu dive is in two days. I KNOW that had I been at Dean’s that I would have had those tanks done the same day or Brent would have worked something out for me. I am honestly considering in the future to drive THREE HOURS from my hometown to ever get fills or work done on my gear I am so disappointed with my local dive shops. If you shop at Dean’s for gear or classes, you will never be disappointed. – via

Hands down the best dive shop in town! Had a group of friends all do our certifications together; instruction was great and I bought all my gear there as well. The owner asked all about my plans and diving desires to help me out together the best setup and made sure everything was fit and functioning perfectly.

Amazing experience. Mike was our instructor. Super knowledgeable. I learned a lot and was very accommodating when the lightning storms started to make sure we were rescheduled in time for our open water. Will be doing my advanced diving here too. My son finished his dive class in November, in Michigan. Called Dean’s, they hooked us up with his 4 open water dives. All the equipment we needed, destination, friendly, knowledgeable. Just an overall great experience. Mike was a great instructor. Worked well with my deaf son. – via

Best of all, I needed to work my open water certification into the middle of the week. Even though their schedule for this is over the weekend, Brent worked with me to get my certification dives with a great instructor. The cost was very reasonable, and the instruction was incredible. Ed is amazing! He’s got a boatload of experience. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He communicates very clearly. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor! Just simple fantastic!

Even if it’s out of the way, this is a great shop to go to. If you want to get PADI Certification and become a better diver, this is the shop. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. Brent worked with me through the process of getting all my info from Korea over to the US, and made the process extremely smooth. The prices are great because the shop isn’t focused on money, but providing the service of bringing competent, skilled divers into the world. They’ll set you up with what you need and answer any questions you have. Very responsive and Brent really cares about helping customers. Definitely give them a call and a visit! – via
