I recently completed my Rescue course with Coconut Tree Divers and would highly recommend this shop for education and fun dives. Leah, our instructor, was thorough, gave excellent tips and critiques, and was fun to learn from. The shop has a great vibe, stellar organization for guests, and I would recommend it to those who are interested in diving while in Roatan! *Photo of curious, beautiful squid on first fun dive* – via

BEWARE: Unreliable website booking system!
Just because you pay for a reservation and receive an order confirmation doesn’t mean they have availability.
UPDATE: I felt like my 3 star review was fair but now it feels like you’re trying to put the responsibility on me for your websites broken booking system. The simple fact is it shouldn’t matter when someone attempts to make a booking. If there is no availability for a certain date/time your system shouldn’t take the booking. Let alone charge a customers credit card and send an order confirmation email like the one in the image. – via

I’m a SCUBA instructor who recently brought a group of 19 divers with Coconut Tree. We did 3 days of diving and one night dive with them. They were fantastic to work with, from start to finish. They were extremely accommodating for our group size and even arranged water taxis and a shuttle from our hotel in West Bay, and arranged a pizza order for the group between our PM and night dive. Riley in the office was always super helpful and responsive as we planned the trip. He was awesome!
We had some students in our group, and they were great with selecting appropriate dive sites for what we needed to do. The dive guides (Matt, Kenzie, and Jordan) were safety-minded and had great, energetic personalities for our group of mostly young people. They allowed us to store our gear at their shop between days, which was definitely appreciated.
We were extremely happy with our group’s experience with Coconut Tree and plan to return in the future! – via

Top notch! My friend and I were on a cruise and arranged to dive at Coconut Tree. Communication beforehand was amazing. I was working on an advanced certifcation and the shop wroked with my LDS to make sure the dives I did there transferred. Pickup from the ship was super easy and the DMs were fabulous. We were paired with another family from the ship so it was just four of us on the dive boat–with two Dive Masters/Instructors. Coconut Tree has a very active Dive Instructor training program so I think you always get fabulous ratios. You just can’t beat this level of attention.
However, what makes me wish I could give CTD ten stars is what happened at the end of the second dive. I have a friend who always jokes that the most dangerous part of diving is getting in and our of the boat. Ummm yeah. That was me. Freak thing. My fault. THIS is where the staff shined. Fabulous triage. The shop is literally steps away from a medical clinic that is WELL equipped to handle medical emergencies and they took care of me right away. The DI stayed with me the entire time. The staff bent over backwards to make sure I was ok. Sometimes it is the little things. They took all my gear, cleaned it, packed it up and brought it to me. They made sure we got back to the boat on time. This was human kindness at its best.
As a female diver usually doing this solo, it’s nice to have palces that you can trust–especially when things go awry. For me, that is Coconut Tree – via

A wonderful shop full of professionals dedicated to their craft. We had such a great time diving with Coconut Tree. The staff was super informative, professional, and fun. Riley, Gay, Matt, Kenzie, Juan and others all made our experience great. I am a rescue diver doing fun dives and my partner got her open water certification with Kenzie and was incredibly satisfied with the instruction, care and training. So much so that she went on a couple additional dives after her course, bought a mask, and has had us change our travel plans to include more diving! I mentioned a couple of bucket list dives on my list to Matt and he took us out there the very next day, the hole in the wall and odyssey wreck dives are two of the best dives I’ve done. We did 14 dives with Coconut Tree between the two of us and we will certainly be back to do our next certifications with Coconut Tree! Thank you! – via

Just finished my Discover Scuba Diving course with Coconut Tree Divers. I was nervous as hell since I’m still not super comfortable in the water, but Kenzie, Dani, and Stephen were fantastic. They made the whole experience fun and less stressful with their calm, professional, and fun demeanor. Riley and Gay at the front desk were wonderful as well, rounding out the whole experience. – via

I visited Roatan, Honduras with Virgin’s Valiant Lady in November 2022. I chose Coconut Tree Divers based on the driver of the taxi I was in (lol..). Excellent dive shop, friendly staff and I was able to use my wireless transmitter for my dive computer on their 1st stage. They chose some excellent dive sites, “Over Heat” & “Fish Den” which had perfect visibility and is where I saw a large number of Gropers, Eels and a huge King Crab . I would recommend anyone to give them a try, you will be well taken care of. – via Google

Very accommodating. My fiancé and I dove with them 9 times over the last 11 days and the boats were never crowded. Small groups and knowledgeable dive masters. Great prices. Highly recommend, will use them again – via Google

Beautiful reefs, new equipment for rental, quick responses to questions, and cheerful staff.
My wife and I came to Roatan as part of a Virgin Voyages cruise. We booked a 2-tank dive for 110$ per person which included transportation directly from the port of Roatan to the dive shop. Murphy droves us the 10~15mins to the dive center and took us back to port once we were done. Riley, the manager, was quick to respond to our emails and coordinated the transportation even after our ship was delayed. Juan was a great dive master; he set us up with equipment that fits, gave us clear pre-dive instructions, and was attentive underwater. Juan even took us through some cool swim-throughs. The dive shop sits on the beach which meant we could snorkel before/after the dive if we wanted. There are also many restaurants and shop along the road and we walked to grab a snack after the dive.
We are definitely excited to come back again for more dives! – via Google
