Great place to learn how to dive! The staff is kind, friendly, and extremely patient. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Pam and she made us feel welcomed. My 15 year old daughter was a bit nervous but Mujey was patient and made her feel at ease during the pool instruction. While I waited for my kids to finish the pool PADI instruction, I tried the Halotherapy and that was very relaxing. Nick was the instructor at the Quarry dive and he was also very patient, knowledgeable, and caring. He did a great job interacting with my 2 teenagers. Thank you Berry Dive Center for making it all a wonderful experience and for opening up more of the world for my kids to explore. – via

Chicagoland SCUBA is my favorite dive shop in the Chicagoland area. I called to complete my PADI basic open water certification on short notice. They had me signed up immediately and in the water four days later (amazing!). Bill is an excellent teacher and diver. He made me feel comfortable in the water and taught me thoroughly, not just checking boxes, allowing me to be confident in my abilities as a diver. There was no shortage of good conversation between dives either. Katy is knowledgeable (she fitted me perfectly into my new gear with one glance), friendly, and professional. Overall, I was incredibly impressed. If you are looking for a dive shop with professional, friendly customer service and in-depth knowledge on all things diving, then Chicagoland SCUBA is the place for you! – via

Succcessfully completed the PADI Open Water Diver course last weekend with my daughter. What a great experience!. Everyone associated with Chicagoland Scuba was top notch. The shop is run well; Katy runs a tight ship. I purchased a new mask and used it for more than 6 hours in multiple pool sessions and 4 open water dives. Unfortunately, the mask didn’t quite fit right, but that was not a problem. Despite being a small, independent dive shop, I was able to trade my used mask for a new one and received a full credit. It is hard to believe that an independent shop provides Nordstrom type service, but they did.

Regarding the actual course, Bill H, the dive master is excellent. He goes by the book and doesn’t take any shortcuts. My daughter and I learned a great deal and Bill would not allow us to move forward until we mastered the required task. He is very knowledgeable and super safety conscious. Safety is critical in diving and we both felt completely at ease during our open water dives. Bill had a master diver for every two students. Ricky, Rich, & Matt were terrific. I highly recommend Chicagoland Scuba to anyone who wants to learn how to dive and obtain their certification. – via

I would not go anywhere else to get scuba certified! Bill and Katy were INCREDIBLY accommodating and went above and beyond to work around mine and my father’s busy schedules to build our certification timeline.

Bill, Ricky, Rich, and Matt were amazing during our open water dives. Chicagoland Scuba’s number one priority is safety and my father and I felt 100% comfortable with each aspect of the course.

Thanks again Chicagoland Scuba team! WE HAD A BLAST! Can’t wait to put our learning to use. – via

We had a great experience with Bill. We drove up from Chicago due to the one day course option. We were in a time crunch and Bill helped us set up our 12 hours of e-learning very efficiently. We did an all day training starting promptly at 7:30 am and completed our pool work later that evening. We now feel very comfortable with our skills as we head to the Great Barrier Reef as we complete our open water dives! We could not have imagined a better and more thorough training experience. Overall, we highly recommend this location and Bill as your instructor for your scuba certification! – via
