Enduring 16th-century Spanish fortification atop a promontory with cannons pointing seaward.
My favorite experience in Puerto Rico because it is the most unique. A very large castle that you can explore at your leisure. Has informational signs and displays. Amazing ocean views. Fun to learn more about the history of the island. Appreciated the displays about historical preservation and the ongoing work. – via
(Translated by Google) You can walk from the pier along the entire shore, there are very good views and good spots for photos, inside they charge admission and there is a very cool shop for souvenirs, you can return to old San Juan from El Morro without a problem, many tourists, all safe. I recommend going well hydrated, if you arrive on a cruise take drinks from there even though Puerto Rico is not very expensive.
