My son and I took our open water certification class at Calypso and had a wonderful experience! Larry and the staff were great to work with leading up to our class. We were paired up with Dan for our training, he was amazing! He made the training fun but made sure we knew all the material. Our dives went smooth, we were very comfortable with Dan and our training, which made for a great experience. We,re already planning to take more classes with Dan and Calypso this summer. – via google

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Calypso! I started conversing with Larry months ago over the phone as I was planning for my OW Diver course and was a bit nervous about everything I needed, as well as planning since I do not live in Florida. Larry and Laura are super thorough and nice whether through email, phone and in-person! Larry helped me try on fins and boots. The pricing is reasonable for the equipment and classes. Dan, my instructor, was absolutely fantastic and I did not feel overwhelmed or anxious at any point during my course. He made my first scuba diving experience fun and I did not feel anxious about my ability to scuba dive after learning with Dan. It took about a week and a half to get my certification # with PADI. I’m so happy with my experience and I definitely will be diving with Calypso again!! – via google

I love the water and scuba diving was on my wish list of fears to conquer. What a great experience with Tim, one of the scuba instructors for beginners. My one fear’s was being able to breath under water since I’m very claustrophobic. Tim made me feel so comfortable and at ease. It was a great experience that will lead me to become scuba certified. The owners really work with you and are wonderful people. Would highly recommend Calypso Divers of Tampa Bay if you are thinking of learning how to scuba dive. – via google

Due to an “unfortunate series of events” I ended up on a very tight schedule and in need of completing ALL my “open water certification” dives in less than one week. To add to the craziness of the situation, I only contacted Calypso 18 hours prior to the first class…

Everyone at the dive school/shop was extremely accommodating and nice about it. They put together a custom program that fit my schedule and got me through all my confined/open water dives in 4 days!!

Everyone at the store was also very friendly and provided me with equipment recommendations and dive advice. Thanks to all these efforts I will be able to dive with my family this weekend! Shoutout to my dive instructor, Douglas!! – via google
