Nette Leute, toller Shop. Gute Leihausrüstung.

Für schlechte Sichtweiten im Wasser können sie nichts, haben mir aber soviel gezeigt wie möglich unter Wasser.

Minuspunkt: Knappe 200$ für zwei geführte Landtauchgänge mit Leihausrüstung die man auch noch selbst zum Tauchplatz transportieren muss, finde ich schon ziemlich teuer. – via

I took their one-day Giant Kelp Restoration Specialty Course with Brian and Ari. It’s a unique course that has a direct correlation to the conservation of Monterey Bay. Brian and Ari brought great knowledge and enthusiasm to the subject and I cannot wait to put my new found skills to practice and hope to join Aquarius and G2KR on future dives! The divemaster/guide was friendly and helpful and great to be around.

The front shop staff were very rude (especially one guy) and the place was chaotic. It seems to be set up for “club dives” where people know what to do, where to be and what the processes are. As a visitor there isn’t much help getting your gear or dropping it off, no welcome or help until your guide arrives. When you drop off, the staff don’t smile or come and help you, you have to find them and each person tells you a different thing to do, which ends up pretty confusing. Then they seem to think you’re an idiot for doing what the other staff member said you should do, and treat you like that. For example, one person saying put your gear return here, another saying there, one saying wait by your gear, but then another saying you have to go inside and get your piece of paper/form signed off to return gear.

You have to take all your gear in your own car to the dive site, which is fine but they don’t tell you that so make sure you have space.

This place could be great but all the staff seem to need basic hospitality training (e.g. smile at people and be helpful) and there doesn’t seem to be anyone in charge (e.g. all the chaos). The dive shop seem to want your divemaster to just deal with you and you’re an inconvenience to the real job of being emo or getting the club divers out the door. – via

We booked a 2 tank guided tour with full rentals, and the overall experience was perfect. The staff was very friendly and helpfull, and the gear was of good quality and in a good shape. Furthermore the diving itself was beautiful, and our dive guide Brandon did an amazing job. We already had cold water experience, although it would not have been necessary given the easy conditions and the instructions given by the dive guide. – via

Not the most consistent dive shop I have every been to, it is very hit or miss. I think this is the only dive shop that has free parking, though it does get congested if you are showing up when there is a class or something else going on. – via

As a first time cold water diver, Aquarius was the perfect dive shop to explore the Monterey coast with. I was impressed by how organized our rental gear experience was, they had everything pulled and ready for each of us to try on. The guides were all very knowledgeable and gave great dive briefings, and were extremely accommodating to anything we needed or had trouble with. We did both day dives and a night dive. Definitely recommend! – via Google

We dove with khristy yesterday and she was a very safe and experienced dive master. On our fist dive in cold water + first dive after getting certified, we were a little nervous about getting into the water but she was excellent in communication and really made us feel better. As soon as I communicated under water that I was not feeling okay she had all of us dive back to the surface to troubleshoot. Because we had a couple of other nervous divers in our group we didn’t end up seeing too much sea life 🙂 We did see the magnificent kelp forest however and we will be back again to explore and get more experienced. This is a safe dive shop, would highly recommend. – via Google

Well organized scuba operation! Diving the last six years regularly, Aquarius Dive Shop stands out among the rest. Was our first time diving on the West Coast. Their Divemaster Nick took good care of us in the water. Was an excellent experience getting in the water with sea lions swimming by, beautiful kelp forests, a little chilly 54degrees but otherwise incredible! The opportunity to rinse all our gear out back at the shop after our dives and use their warm water shower were icing on the cake. Thank you guys for a wonderful West Coast dive experience!!! – via Google
