Wish there was a 6th star I could click! The level 1 course I did was phenomenal, it by far exceeded my expectations.. I learned some skills I’ll be able to bring in to my daily life, skills that are well needed like relaxation, breath work and meditation, but also a connection to nature that this course gave me the opportunity to explore more deeply (pun not intended). The Apneista team were all impeccable teachers, hosts, guides and protectors, they offer up such a mix of experience, knowledge and guidance. I also loved the community vibe there, I felt so welcome. The food was also amazing – I’ll be dreaming of that burrito forevermore! Thanks team, I feel truly blessed to have had such a profound and impactful experience. The only problem now is that I have the free diving bug!! – via

Directly next to the oceans which makes it a good place to learn to dive. Teachers were patient and friendly. I felt save all the time and dived with a lot of fun. I’d choose this school again! Definitely recommend it. – via

Really a nice place to learn and practice freediving! Easy communication upfront to plan (they try everything to fit to your needs/wishes). Instructors are very friendly and love their profession. Finished Level 1 and will continue with Level 2 at Apneista! – via

My girlfriend and I took the two day level one course with Feng. We went over theory and safety that goes along with freediving and got time in the ocean as well. I was hesitant to take this class mostly because I’m not a strong swimmer and never have free dived before either.
The class and course overall were great, laid back and very beginner friendly. Feng and all of the instructors were calm, relaxed, understanding and encouraging. They all gave good coaching and feedback after every attempt and kept encouraging everyone. By the end of the course I went from unconfident with no experience to diving down 12 meters comfortably.
Overall I would recommend this place if you are on the fence just thinking about or were interested in it. I would take another course with them in the future if we came back to Bali. – via

Did the level 1 free diving course. Such an amazing experience and extremely great staff. I felt unsure of free diving and had zero experience with diving in general. The staff made me feel very safe and calm about it all. Started in the class room, pool, and then the ocean. I had a hard time equalizing (something really important) the first day and one of the instructors (Tilly) took time to give me extra resources that really helped. I would recommend if you’re looking for a great free diving school! – via

I came here for a fun dive to see the USS Liberty. Everything was swell except for the fact that I was in a group with 3 other fun divers and an instructor, and they all spoke Spanish. (They all spoke English too, but they chose to speak Spanish. I don’t speak Spanish.) The instructor did brief the dive in English as well, but other than that, I was completely ignored above the surface while the 4 of them had themselves wonderful little chats. Annoying. I wouldn’t go back, but the staff is well-trained and the facility is nice. – via
