Amazing top level instructors, Incredible new facility, Cutest four legged friends and a 1 min stroll into the clear warm ocean!
These passionate ladies will teach you everything you need to know and more their even put up with you when you get stressed at yourself! (I vouch for that) There’s a reason they’re respected around the Freediving world!
Can’t wait to get back and do my masters with them!

I enrolled in this free diving course to heal from my thalassophobia, and the experience I had during the course surpassed all my expectations. Miguel, my instructor, provided explanations in class that were incredibly simple and easy to understand. His clarity surpassed even that of my professors at medical school ??

One of the instructors, Barra, was truly inspirational and motivated me to overcome my fears and gradually master the frenzel equalisation technique.

During the sea training, Jalil accompanied me. Words cannot express my gratitude to Jalil for creating such a tranquil and comfortable environment in the sea. He believed in my abilities more than I did myself. Despite experiencing seasickness twice during training, Jalil helped me overcome it gracefully. I initially thought I could only dive to depths of 3-4 meters, but eventually, I reached 12 meters, and my fear of the ocean depths diminished significantly.

Achieving such depths, especially considering my thalassophobia, is one of my most unforgettable experiences, made possible by the incredible support of Apnea Bali and their exceptional staff. I am deeply grateful to Apnea Bali, and I feel blessed to have chosen them as the place where I first ventured into the free diving world.

Excellent dive centre. These guys live and breath the freedive lifestyle. Relaxed, welcoming, super professional and very good instructors. We dove with Apnea Bali for 2 weeks and dramatically improved our technique and comfort in the water.

Sadly the sea was against us and a few sessions were cancelled, but we managed a day in the centre’s pool – excellent, super clean and great pool for dynamic training. A special word for our two instructors, Emma & Jalil (J) they were world-class. Jalil especially is aquaman! I’ve never seen anyone so comfortable in the water! Both of them taught me so much and helped me refine my ability by a huge amount. I was already wave 3 so their level of high end training is amazing.

Apnea Bali take safety very seriously, we dove in the bay only 50m offshore but a few times during our stay the instructors called the session early because swell and current were too strong for us to safely continue.

Overall – fantastic set up. Great facilities (showers, lockers, toilets etc) training pool is top notch. And the cafe they’re building should be amazing once it’s opens. Highly recommend.
