I don’t really take it seriously when people write: ‘BEST place in …’ but after being 1,5 month in Nica (by bus&motor) I can say for myself It is!
Be careful, 2 nights become 3, and next you plan to come back 3 weeks.
Sam is a wonderful and really chill host. Facilitates your stay very subtle: like with tips, motor bike rental(delivered at the door) or fresh fish to buy. The place attracts (or the atmosphere is contagious?) like-minded guests. A serene perfect place to chill enjoy the sea, shade and sometimes if desired connect.
Dorm directly at the beach so fall a sleep with sound of the ocean. Spacious well equipped kitchen.
All you need, simple yet absolution abundant. – via

El Marabüu was incredible. It is right on the beach. Literally 2 steps to the water to surf everyday. We were there for 11 days and it was so hard to leave. Sam has done a lovely job of keeping the place beautiful! He was super attentive and kind. He took us to town to get groceries, invited us to parties and had awesome recommendations on places to go and things to do! Make sure you come prepared with food and money as it’s 30 minutes walking time to any little market. We will be back for sure! Thanks again Sam!!! – via

We loved the place ??

We stayed in the 6 bed dorm, the shared bathroom where super clean. The kitchen as well!!

Sam was super helpful.
We could wash our clothes there for a small price.

The commune areas and the rooms got cleaned everyday!

It was really save.

Just in front you have a surf spot! Which was great and to the two other ones nearby you need 5 min with scooter or you could also walk (30min) to the boom.

It is a paradise, a lot of nature, very green, fresh and beautiful, very quiet and its owners are very good people, I love Lety and her family. I think it is a complete place where you breathe peace??? and harmony and you can literally jump out of your bed??? Sea ?? . – via

Cleaning staff very efficient excellent job all staff were very friendly rooms need to be remodeled, beds are damaged, worn, not comfortable, bathrooms are the same needs to be remodeled, shower curtains need to be changed more often. The place is in a good area and the prices for the quality are very high, very expensive for what it offers.

El personal de limpieza muy eficiente excelente trabajo todo el personal se porto muy amable las habitaciones necesitan ser remodeladas, las camas están dañadas, desgastadas, no son confortables, los baños están igual necesita q se remodele, la cortinas del baño necesitan ser cambiadas más a menudo. We had the most amazing time! The hotel is right along the beach and our room had a beach view. The room was clean and just perfect for our family. My little munchkin had the time of her life and met other munchkins that she could play with. We had a bonfire on the beach with our favorite music, roasted smores and snuggled up with our blankets! Absolutely amazing. The best part was the staff, they were always willing to assist when asked. The manager Miss Karen was so accommodating and friendly and ensured we were comfortable and needed nothing. She recommended restaurants and that we should visit the Montauk Point Lighthouse Museum which was a hit with our 4yr old. She also recommended the mini golf closeby which my daughter couldn’t get enough of. She was just amazing and made our trip so fulfilling and because of her we have already made plans to go back next year… and make this a yearly family trip! Thanks Miss Karen! Overall just a really great experience! – via

My family stayed here this past June. While the prices everywhere in montauk were ridiculous (peak season) we truly enjoyed our stay at ocean surf . There was clear communication for check in. Although we arrived late night they provided us with our keypad access so we could go straight to our room after a long drive. We then finalized the check in the next morning at the front desk so overall a smooth check in experience. I was wary because most resorts in the area that were in our budget had very little photos or the photos shown were VERY dated. But to our surprise, our room was updated, comfortable & clean (I wish I had pictures). We booked the 5 person room with two double beds & a futon and there was more than enough space for my family. We were provided more than enough towels, toiletries & appliances (hair dryer, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, small dining table). The bathroom was small, but clean & got the job done. Every employee I’ve encountered during our stay were very friendly & helpful. The location was perfect, walkable to a lot of spots, short drives to everywhere else. The beach access was great, I loved lounging on the lounge chairs along the pool facing the beach! I didn’t get to try the pool cuz it was too cold during the time we went. Parking at the time was tight cuz they were fully booked, but we didn’t have any issues finding a spot. I’m overall satisfied with our stay & would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for accommodations in this area! – via
