My 84 year old Mum and I decided to try paragliding for the first time on our recent trip to Queenstown. The team from skytrek were amazing and made it a fun, relaxed experience while being completely professional. A special shout out to Borat and Pat who jumped off the mountain with Mum and myself and made it such a fabulous experience. – via

I am a New Zealander tour guide and booked myself and two travellers a tandem paraglide for the 6.30 pm summer flight. We all felt that it was hands-down our best experience in NZ so far. The guides were legends of the industry, who made us feel safe and aware as we soared over the trillion-dollar view surprised that we could feel absolutely exhilarated and tranquil at the same time up in the sky. As you descent the guides asked if we wanted to do some acrobatics, two of us chose to do these spins and somersaults while the other didn’t want to which was fine and our choices were respected. Ultimately, we all received the fight we asked for and most needed. Online, it says that the flight takes ten to fifteen minutes but because of favourable conditions our flights were more in the 20-25 minute length. Because this experience was so meaningful to use, we all chose to pay the small extra fee for the high-definition go pro photographs and videos that we could share with our friends and families. None of us had ever been paragliding before and now we’ve all caught the addiction and will be looking out for our next flight. Skytek paragliding is a must-do for your time in the adventure tourism capital of NZ. – via
