I used to like this place..then I met the owner. Rude, condescending and clearly didn’t want my business. Such a bummer after years of supporting it, Ismael is wonderful..not sure how such a ego-driven owner got a kind worker like Ismael! For your surf needs I would go literally right around the corner to Desert Barrels for great gear, clothes and Costa Azul just up the road by Zippers for great board rentals. Both have FAR kinder service to locals & tourists alike. – via

DO NOT SHOP OR RENT FROM THIS STORE! 1st off I’ve been surfing for around 42 years and have owned and operated a surf shop and managed a few others in my day. I write this review just to warn people not to shop at this store. The website looks great and all that’s about it. I like to shop at small local shops but the selection here is nonexistent and the price is not what it says on the website. If you want to surf a waterlogged tree trunk then you should go here. I asked the owner if there was another surf shop around knowing the answer as I did my research and he said yes but it’s 10 miles away and they don’t have the selection he has. I laughed it off and still bought for the guy but immediately regretted it. I knew better but wanted to surf so I bit the bullet. Once I paddled out I met a surfer in the water and asked if he brought his own boards down and he said no. He told that he went to same shop I did and found the poor selection and then went to the other shop just a mile or two up the road and that they have an incredible selection of boards. Like I said earlier “I knew better”! The end is this DO NOT SHOP AT THIS PLACE! STAY AWAY! All the excellent reviews are scams and not real reviews – via

Low quality board. Scammers!
3 inches scratch that was reported orally (not written on the paper they kept, saying « it’s ok , I know it ». Upon return, different guy, fully checking ou the board, trying to find the smallest scratch to invoice us… usd$70 for the 3inches that was there. – via
