Javi is world class in all respects: incredibly competent and knowledgeable, very safe, kind, patient, and a great hang. He took three beginners out for eight hours on blue water. Super successful day on the water and afterwards he cooked our catch at the restaurant which was equally amazing.
We will be back. I’d give six stars if I could!

What a thrill! We had never tried spear fishing before but Javier talked us through everything before we went out. We had a wonderful guide and captain on the boat and always felt safe and had all our questions answered. If you like snorkeling and can swim underwater you’ll have a great time.

We speared one fish and our guide speared three, which Javier cooked up for a wonderful lunch. – via google

What a truly awesome day with Arpon!
So professional and a super set up. Mikey and Davey were amazing; I learnt so much. They were excellent with their teaching and they made the day something very unique. Some reefs and even a blue water experience. I loved it! I look forward to my next day with Arpon!

On the day of our trip it was raining, we called and asked to reschedule but we were ensured the conditions were fine. There were 6 of us on the boat with little to no experience. They took us out to 30-40ft where it is extremely hard for an un-experienced diver to get down to. The visibility was not good. We got no fish and were rushed back to the boat as a big storm came in. We paid $165 usd ea for 4 hours and were only out there for 2. The guys were nice enough to offer us some ceviche at the restaurant when we got back but we were freezing at this point and just wanted a hot shower. – via google

It was not a good experience. We asked Javier several Times if the conditions were good enough and he ensured that everything was perfect. When we arrived there was a lot of wind and low visibility. Our guide was not experienced and didnt know which spots to chose from. We had 5 people in the boat just for the ride, not to hunt, and they were paying to supposely have beers, snorkel etc. There was less than 1 beer per person.
Regarding the spearfishing it was a really poor experienced, the material is bad, the conditions were bad and the guide dont know the spots where to take you – via google

This is a very well run charter. I have spearfished in many countries and in multiple states of mexico and can honestly say that this service was fantastic. Javi and his guides are very particular to detail to ensure saftey and optimal success based your skill and ability. Wether you are a seasoned professional or you are just dipping your toes in the water of spearfishing I would highly recommend Arpon Spearfishing. Not to mention NO ONE will cook your fresh catch better than Javi. Went out two days and took 100 pounds of fillet back to the states!l – via google
